Abstract: A device for measuring the adhesive or shear strength of a coated film comprising: a fixed member which can be fixed on an object to be measured; a guide member fixed on the fixed member; a moving member which moves along the guide member in parallel with a measuring surface of the object to be measured; a cutting blade supporting member; a cutting blade mounted on one end part of the cutting blade supporting member and press-contacted on the measuring surface; a mechanism for adjusting the press-contacting force of the cutting blade onto the measuring surface; a mechanism for adjusting a pressure contacting angle of the cutting blade; and a pressure detector for detecting cutting resistance generated by the cutting blade. The device also comprises a vertical displacement detector for detecting a vertical displacement with respect to the measuring surface of the object to be measured.
