  • Patent number: 11960624
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products are configured to apply k-anonymity to an answer to a query sent to a relational database. A query to the relational database is obtained, the relational database containing a plurality of records. A frequency of occurrence of the attributes in the relational database is determined, an anonymization rule set is created based on the frequency of occurrence of the attributes, the anonymization rule set defining which attributes are to be suppressed in the answer to the query, the anonymization rule set is used to generate the answer to the query, wherein the answer to the query has k-anonymity, and a display or other device is controlled based on the answer to the query.

  • Patent number: 11783077
Abstract: Systems and methods obtain a database query, modify the database query into a modified database query incorporating a privacy mechanism configured for randomizing an attribute value of data in an answer to the modified database query, and output the modified database query. In some embodiments, the modified database query is forwarded to a database.

  • Patent number: 11593506
Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining a SQL query, translating the SQL into a modified SQL query incorporating a privacy mechanism, and outputting the modified SQL query incorporating the privacy mechanism. In some embodiments, the modified SQL query incorporating the privacy mechanism is forwarded to a SQL database.

  • Patent number: 10810268
Abstract: A system and method for improved online transaction processing (OLTP) in a sharded database is provided. Overhead associated with a global transaction manager is reduced and scalability improved by determining whether incoming queries are single-shard transactions or multi-shard transactions. For multi-shard transactions, a distributed transaction ID (DXID) is requested from the GTM, and then forwarded with the query to one or more data notes. For single-shard transactions, the query is sent to a data node without requesting a DXID from the GTM.

  • Patent number: 10503725
Abstract: A method for maintaining consistency in distributed databases includes receiving, by a coordinator from an application server, a transaction initiation message for a transaction. Additionally, the method includes determining whether to generate a distributed transaction identifier (DXID) for the transaction, including determining whether the transaction will be performed on a single data node or on multiple data nodes, determining to generate the DXID in response to determining that the transaction will be performed on the multiple data nodes, and generating, by the coordinator, the DXID corresponding to the transaction in response to determining to generate the DXID for the transaction. The method also includes sending, by the coordinator directly to a first data node, the DXID, sending, by the coordinator directly to a second data node, the DXID, and performing the transaction using the DXID.
