  • Publication number: 20230213547
Abstract: A control circuit for a wheel speed sensor is provide. The control circuit includes an input interface configured to receive high-resolution wheel speed data and low-resolution wheel speed data; and circuitry configured to determine information on a functional state of the wheel speed sensor using the high-resolution data and the low-resolution data. The circuitry is configured to detect a failure state of the wheel speed sensor if a number of signal events which are signaled by the high-resolution wheel speed data between a first signal event and a second signal event deviates from an expected number. The first signal event and the second signal event are signaled by the low-resolution wheel speed data.

  • Publication number: 20230152344
Abstract: A magnetic sensor configured to detect a rotation of an object includes at least one sensor element configured to generate at least one sensor signal based on a magnetic field that is modulated by the rotation of the object; a sensor circuit configured to generate a data transmission signal based on the at least one sensor signal, wherein the data transmission signal comprises a plurality of data transmission blocks; and a memory configured to store transmission block status information indicative of whether or not one of the plurality of data transmission blocks has been triggered for transmission. The sensor circuit is configured to detect an interrupt event that disrupts the transmission of the data transmission signal and avoid a complete loss of a data transmission block due to the detected interrupt event based on the transmission block status information present at a time the interrupt event is detected.

  • Patent number: 11614458
Abstract: A control circuit is provided for a sensor that determines a sensed property. The control circuit includes an input interface configured to receive high-resolution data and low-resolution data for the sensed property. The control circuit further includes circuitry configured to determine information on a functional state of the sensor using the high-resolution data and the low-resolution data.

  • Patent number: 11391602
Abstract: A periodic sensor signal representing a varying rotation angle detected by a rotation angle sensor is compared to a number of thresholds to detect threshold crossings of the periodic sensor signal. An output signal including a pulse pattern at the time of a threshold crossing may be generated only if the direction of rotation has not changed since an immediately preceding threshold crossing. A number of consecutive threshold crossings which take place without a change in the direction of rotation may be counted and an update of the offset register is performed only if the number of consecutive threshold crossings which take place without a change in the direction of rotation is equal to or higher less than the number of thresholds.

  • Patent number: 11385076
Abstract: Sensor circuits having a filter and methods for filtering a sensor signal are provided. In this case, a passband width of an adjustable low-pass filter or bandpass filter is adjusted on the basis of a comparison of a measure of a signal change of a sensor signal with a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11333528
Abstract: A sensor device includes a first sensor arrangement configured to generate first sensor signals based on sensing a varying magnetic field generated by a pole wheel having a pole wheel pitch, wherein the first sensor signals represent a first differential signal that defines a first measurement value; a second sensor arrangement configured to generate at least one second sensor signal based on sensing the varying magnetic field, wherein the at least one second sensor signal defines a second measurement value that is phase shifted from the first measurement value; and a signal processor configured to detect the pole wheel pitch based on the first measurement value and the second measurement value, and adjust a gain setting of an amplifier circuit based on the detected pole wheel pitch, where the amplifier circuit is configured to amplify the at least one second sensor signal.
