  • Publication number: 20250256441
Abstract: An obturation valve is described for controlling a flow of molten material exiting from a nozzle into a mold cavity, comprising a channel for the molten material extending along a first axis, two or more obturating members that are mounted movably along a respective second axis inclined at an acute angle with respect to the first axis and so that a free end of each obturating member can move and converge towards the same point inside the channel. The free ends of the obturating members can join at said point to compose a blocking/closing bulkhead for the molten material.

  • Patent number: 12370730
Abstract: A system is described comprising an actuator with a piston linearly movable and a needle shutter connected to the piston for regulating the injection flow of molten material from a nozzle into a mold. By a supply circuit pressurized fluid is brought to the piston to move it back and forth. A solenoid valve is connected to the supply circuit and configured so that in resting condition it leaves open a fluid drainage path for bringing the shutter to a closing position.

  • Publication number: 20250050565
Abstract: A component is described for an injection molding apparatus. The component is mounted within a manifold as a junction between a supply channel, which has a first axis, and an injection channel, which has a second axis and leads to an injection nozzle for injection towards a mold cavity. A nozzle shutter crosses the feed channel and the component along the second axis. The component comprises an outer surface comprising inlets adapted to receive the molten material arriving from the supply channel, a central cavity which is in fluid communication with the injection channel to send the molten material there, and internal channels which cross the thickness of the component. The terminal section of each internal channel in proximity of the respective outlet develops so as to introduce the molten material into the central cavity according to an introduction direction directed towards the injection channel.

  • Patent number: 12220849
Abstract: A method is described for operating an actuator adapted to move via a pressurized fluid circuit a valve pin of an injection nozzle for molten material within a mold, wherein the valve pin moves from a closing position, where no molten material passes through the nozzle, to an opening position, where molten material passes through the nozzle, and the actuator comprises a chamber and a piston that is movably mounted in the chamber, linearly displaced by the thrust of the fluid and connected to the valve pin to move it. The valve pin is moved by injecting or extracting a predetermined amount of fluid into/from the chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240058999
Abstract: An apparatus for injecting a molten plastic material into a mold is described. The apparatus includes a heated manifold (manifold) with channels to distribute molten material inside it, and a heated injector, to inject molten material to the mold cavity, equipped with a translatable shutter to regulate the flow of the injected molten material. An actuator is attached to the manifold to receive molten material from it to send to the injector and move the shutter. The actuator includes a piston connected to the plug, and a first conduit to bring a pressurized fluid from the outside to the piston. A plate includes a second internal conduit to bring pressurized fluid to the injector, where a gap separates the plate and the actuator. A connecting member is mounted to cross the gap and carry pressurized fluid from the plate to the actuator.
