  • Publication number: 20230383237
Abstract: An automated cell culturing device, which expands, detaches and prepares cells, ready to be implanted in vivo is disclosed. The device is composed by a multi-layered cell culture chamber, a cell preparation chamber, and critical parameters control units which automatically drive the cell culture medium circulation, change and refill. The device according to the invention is characterized in that all the components contacting cells and culture medium constitute a totally disposable “cartridge” in order to avoid cross-contamination and improve safety. • Patent number: 11434463
Abstract: A system for controlling a motion of a cell culture includes a tray adapted to hold a cell culture, a camera adapted to capture an image of the cell culture, and a device adapted to control a movement of the tray. The system also includes a processor adapted to determine a first movement of the tray, receive from the camera data representing an image of the cell culture, determine a characteristic of the cell culture based on the image data, determine a second movement of the tray based on the characteristic, the second movement being different from the first movement, and cause the tray to move in accordance with the second movement.

  • Publication number: 20220112467
Abstract: A closed-system (i.e., hermetically sealed) methods, and kits for isolating Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs) from lipoaspirate, that utilizes specific hermetically-sealed, disposable assemblies and containers that are aseptically interconnected, are disclosed. Contemplated methods require lipoaspirate as a starting material, and provide for obtaining isolated, purified MSCs at the end of the process. Kits are contemplated to contain disposable assemblies, composed by sterile components such as modified syringes, tubing, centrifuge tubes, filtering units, that can be aseptically connected while maintaining sterility thereby keeping the system closed (i.e., hermetically sealed) with respect to the external environment. As a result, contamination during the isolation process can be avoided. The MSCs that are obtained at the end of the processing are thus ready to be further manipulated in subsequent operations (in example, expansion) also for therapeutic purposes.

  • Patent number: 6493955
Abstract: Instrument for obtaining a reference line to realize, in correspondence of this line, working points, said working points being preferably situated in correspondence of a working surface. The instrument includes: a laser ray emitting device (1), a supporting body (13), connecting means which attach it to a fixed reference surface. These connecting means include a hinge element (2) which enables to orientate the supporting body (13) and direct the laser ray and to keep it fixed in the desired direction in such a way that with the line defined by the laser ray it is possible to find the working points.
