  • Patent number: 10718046
Abstract: This disclosure provides compositions and methods for a film, which may include a base film and a coating layer on the base film, wherein the coating layer has a surface energy of at least 30 dynes/cm and consists essentially of nylon, polyester, ethylene vinyl alcohol-based copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol-based polyethylene terephthalate, polyvinylchloride, acrylate-based polymers, methacrylate-based polymers, polyurethane, polyalkylimine, acid-modified polyolefins, polyetherester-amide block copolymer, and combinations thereof. Further, the film may include a metal oxide layer on the coating layer, wherein the metal oxide layer has an optical density of equal to or less than 0.5 and a thickness from 0.1 nm through 100 nm. Further still, the film has an oxygen transmission rate of less than 4 cm3/m2/day at 23° C. and 0% relative humidity, a water vapor transmission rate of less than 4 g/m2/day at 38° C. and 90% relative humidity, and a thickness of 5 ?m through 50 ?m.

  • Publication number: 20110318589
Abstract: The present invention relates to barrier film structures and, more particularly, to film structures having EVOH and fluoropolymer in skin layer. The addition of fluoropolymer in the skin layer allows trim recycling and improves the metal appearance in the metallization by reducing die lines and scratches. Improved barrier performances have been achieved by using plasma treatment during metal vacuum deposition in the vacuum chamber.

  • Patent number: 7776839
Abstract: A pharmaceutical composition is provided for use in the healing of cells containing about 0.0001 percent weight per volume (% w/v) to about 2% w/v of an alginic acid or a salt of alginic acid having a molecular weight in the range of greater than about 250,000 to about 1,000,000, provided that if the composition additionally contains an alginic acid or a salt of alginic acid having a molecular weight in the range of about 20,000 to about 250,000, it is present in an amount of less than 1% w/w. The use of the pharmaceutical composition for the healing cells in a mammal, preferably mucosal cells is also provided.
