  • Publication number: 20240293033
Abstract: An arrangement for measuring a flow velocity in a blood vessel comprising; a catheter configured to be inserted into a blood vessel; a plurality of flow velocity sensors coupled to the catheter; a sensor network coupled to the plurality of flow velocity sensors; and a processor coupled to the sensor network; wherein each of the plurality of flow velocity sensors is configured to sense a velocity of a blood flow, wherein an output of the sensor network is configured to be input into a mathematical model stored in the processor, and wherein the mathematical model is configured to calculate the flow velocity in the blood vessel where the catheter is located.

  • Publication number: 20210038157
Abstract: An arrangement for providing information of an alignment of a catheter is provided. The arrangement comprises a catheter (140). The arrangement comprises a sensor arrangement. The sensor arrangement comprises a first sensor (101) and a second sensor (102). The first and the second sensors are adapted to measure respective velocities of the fluid flow. The first and second sensors are arranged at a circumference of the catheter. The first and second sensors provide information such that an alignment of the catheter with respect to a direction of the fluid flow is determinable based on the respective velocities of the fluid flow measured by the first and second sensors.
