  • Publication number: 20230268824
Abstract: An active voltage snubber includes a ground terminal and an input terminal, and a snubber capacitor. A snubbing-activation device is designed to connect the input terminal to a second terminal of the snubber capacitor with a view to charging the snubber capacitor via this second terminal. Also included is a discharging switch for discharging the snubber capacitor, and a control circuit for controlling the discharging switch, which is designed to close the discharging switch so as to make the snubber capacitor discharge via its second terminal through the discharging switch. The control circuit is powered electrically by the snubber capacitor by being connected to the second terminal of the snubber capacitor so as to receive current from the snubber capacitor.

  • Patent number: 11411505
Abstract: The invention relates to an insulated DC-DC converter, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising—a first circuit, connected to a first electrical grid, and including a primary branch comprising at least one induction coil, —a second circuit, connected to a second electrical grid, and comprising a secondary branch comprising at least one induction coil, each induction coil of the primary branch being coupled with an induction coil of the secondary branch in order to form a transformer. According to the invention, said converter comprises at least one additional branch comprising at least one additional induction coil, said at least one additional branch being connected to the electrical grid, and said at least one additional induction coil being coupled with an induction coil of the secondary branch so that, according to one operating mode, the insulated DC-DC converter transfers energy from the low-voltage vehicle electrical grid to the electrical grid, in particular for pre-charging purposes.

  • Patent number: 10807476
Abstract: The present invention pertains to an electrical system, in particular designed to be installed on board an electric or hybrid vehicle, whereby said electrical system includes an AC-to-DC converter that includes a rectifier and a DC-to-DC converter, an isolated DC-to-DC converter connected to a high voltage battery, and whereby said electrical system is configured, in a first operating mode, to be connected to an external alternating electricity grid to charge the high voltage battery. Furthermore, the first interface terminals of the DC-to-DC converter are connected to a low voltage battery, whereby said electrical system is configured so that, in a second operating mode, when the electrical system is disconnected from the external alternating electricity grid, said DC-to-DC converter supplies an initial voltage from the high voltage battery to power the low voltage battery.

  • Patent number: 9775203
Abstract: A device and a method for driving the supply of power to a plurality of light sources that is made up of a first group of light sources comprising at least one light source, which first group of light sources is connected in series with at least one second group of light sources comprising at least one light source. The device comprises a supply circuit to which the plurality of light sources is connected as a load. According to the inventive measures, it becomes possible to short at least one of the groups of light sources without causing high intensity transient current peaks in the light sources that are not shorted.
