Patent number: 7025898Abstract: A heating medium composition for suppressing deterioration of both a metal piping and a synthetic resin piping. The heating medium composition contains an antifreeze ingredient, water, a corrosion inhibitor, and a surfactant. The corrosion inhibitor includes a triazole compound, and the surfactant includes an anionic surfactant. A bag in a feeder provided in a given position along a circulation piping is filled with an oxidation inhibitor. By flowing a heating medium composition through the feeder, the oxidation inhibitor is gradually dissolved in the heating medium composition.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2002Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignees: Showa Water Industries Co., Ltd., Osaka Gas Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masumi Mizutani, Akihiro Sagasaki, Koichi Hamada, Yuji Higuchi, Kazuhisa Ikawa

Patent number: 5352362Abstract: A brine recycling method where the used brine containing metal ions is added with a reaction agent to provide a agent-added brine. The reaction agent is of a kind which, when it is reacted with the metal ions, produces an insoluble substance, excluding an oxidant which, when reacted with oxygen, produces metal oxide. The agent-added brine is subsequently filtrated with the use of a microporous filtration membrane having an average pore size within the range of 0.005 to 1 .mu.m. A brine recycling apparatus is also disclosed which includes a filter module containing a microporous filtration membrane having an average pore size within the range of 0.005 to 1 .mu.m. The used brine is, after having been added with the reaction agent, supplied through a supply passage into the filter module. The filtrate is then removed from the filter module through a recovery passage.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 1993Date of Patent: October 4, 1994Assignees: Showa Water Industries Co., Ltd, Kuraray Co., Ltd., Tokiwa Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masumi Mizutani, Kaoru Mizutani, Masaru Kawahashi, Yoshio Fujiwara

Patent number: 4059006Abstract: A liquid quality-evaluating apparatus for liquids whose boiling point or vapor lock point vary by deterioration includes a heating vessel made of heat conductive and electrically conductive material and adapted to hold a brake fluid whose quality is to be determined. The heating vessel has an opening which is closed by an electrically and heat insulating removable cover and the wall of the heating vessel near the bottom is fitted with a nozzle acting as a siphon. The cover carries a hollow cylindrical electrode so disposed as to slightly dip into a brake fluid received in the vessel. A heat-responsive resistance element for detecting the temperature of the brake fluid is received in the hollow cylindrical electrode. A heater is provided below the heating vessel to heat the brake fluid received therein. A current cutoff-detecting circuit is electrically connected between the heating vessel and the hollow cylindrical electrode.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 1976Date of Patent: November 22, 1977Assignees: Showa Industries Co., Ltd., Fujisoku Electric Co., Ltd., Kitoku Co., Ltd.Inventors: Masumi Mizutani, Hiromichi Hata, Masasuke Shimazaki
