    Abstract: In a process of transferring a pattern printed on a thin film of a polyvinyl alcohol resin to a surface of an object by pressing the object to the thin film floated on the surface of the water with the printed surface faced up and submerging the object into the water, boric acid or salts thereof are included in the thin film or in the water. A clear and precise pattern can be transferred to the object even if it has uneven surface.
