  • Patent number: 11955327
Abstract: The present invention implements an ion detector with which it is possible to avoid direct collisions of negative ions with a scintillator, prevent degradation of the scintillator, prolong life of the scintillator, reduce the need for maintenance, and perform highly sensitive detection of both positive and negative ions. With respect to a reference line 65 connecting a central point 63 of a positive ion CD 52 and a central point 64 of a counter electrode 54, a central point 66 of a negative ion CD 53 is provided in a region of a side opposite to a region of a side of a central point 67 of a scintillator 56. Positive ions entering from an ion entrance 62 receive a deflection force and collide with the positive ion CD 52 to generate secondary electrons. The generated secondary electrons collide with the scintillator 56 to generate light. The generated light passes through a light guide 59 and is detected by a photomultiplier tube 58. A negative potential barrier is generated along the reference line 65.

  • Patent number: 6099623
Abstract: A humidity control apparatus for realizing the dehumidification, humidification, and ventilation operations in a compact configuration. The apparatus includes a rotary humidity control element, an electric heater, and sucking and/or forcing blowers. The rotary humidity control element is of metal silicate gel polymerized in honeycomb laminates of ceramics, and is sectioned into a drying function part, a heat recovery function part, and a humidification function part, for use. The drying function part absorbs and removes moisture from air passing therethrough at room temperatures. The heat recovery function part recovers heat of air passing therethrough. The humidification function part moistens the air passing therethrough if the air is high in temperature. The electric heater is provided on an air passageway between the heat recovery function part and the humidification function part, for heating the air to be introduced to the humidification function part.

  • Patent number: 5752323
Abstract: A compact and effective ventilator/drier assembly for heating the room to which it is installed has a case main body 1 divided into a primary zone 3A communicating with an air inlet port 2A, a tertiary zone 3C communicating with an air outlet port 2B and a secondary zone 3B disposed adjacent to the tertiary zone and the primary zone. Moist air A in a room 100 is forced to flow through the air inlet port, the primary zone, the secondary zone, the tertiary zone and the air outlet port and back into the room by a centrifugal type air blower 21 and moisture contained in the room air is adsorbed by a cylindrical rotary type moisture adsorbing device 31 arranged between the secondary zone and the tertiary zone as the air is made to come into contact with a moisture-removing portion 31A of the adsorbing device 31. Dried air B is moved to into the tertiary zone, where it is heated to produce heating air E, which is discharged from the air outlet port into the room.

  • Patent number: 4468934
Abstract: An absorption refrigeration system having a generator, a rectifier, a condenser, an evaporator, an absorber and heat exchangers which are connected by means of conduits in an airtight manner so that circulations for refrigerant and for absorbent solution are formed, wherein the rectifier is mounted upright above the generator, and wherein a receiver for receiving absorbent containing refrigerant is mounted below the rectifier and communicates with the lower portion of the generator through an absorbent passage means, whereby decreasing hindrance of the generation of the refrigerant vapor from the generator, thus increasing the efficiency in generating vapor and, at the same time, preventing local overheating of the solution in the generator.
