  • Patent number: 4491853
Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an image recording arrangement for use in facsimile equipment and the like, adapted to effect an image recording at a rough density for standard information and an image recording at high density for fine information at a density at least two times that of the rough density. The recording arrangement includes a recording head having a dot density sufficient to resolve the high density so that, during the recording at the rough density, one bit of the recording information corresponds to at least two dots of the recording head.

  • Patent number: 4339761
Abstract: An ink liquid supply system for an ink jet system printer comprises an ink liquid reservoir for containing ink liquid therein, and a constant flow rate plunger pump for supplying the ink liquid to a nozzle. The constant flow rate plunger pump comprises a cylinder block, a bush exchangeably secured to a cylinder portion of the cylinder block, a piston slidably disposed in the bush, and a diaphragm secured to one end of the piston. A first pressure chamber is defined by the other end of the piston, and a second pressure chamber is defined by the diaphragm. In response to the reciprocating movement of the piston, the first pressure chamber functions to introduce the ink liquid from the ink liquid reservoir and to develop the ink liquid of a constant flow rate to the nozzle. At the same time, the second pressure chamber functions to introduce a waste ink liquid from a beam gutter of the ink jet system printer and to return the waste ink liquid to the ink liquid reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4336547
Abstract: An ink jet system printer of the charge amplitude controlling type includes a reciprocating printer head and a constant flow rate plunger pump. An actual printing operation is conducted while the printer head is driven to travel forward, and the constant flow rate plunger pump is energized to develop the ink liquid when the printer head is driven to travel backward. A pressure accumulator of a small capacity is disposed between the constant flow rate plunger pump and the printer head for minimizing the pressure pulsation created by the constant flow rate plunger pump.

  • Patent number: 4278984
Abstract: An ink liquid supply system for an ink jet system printer comprising an ink liquid reservoir for containing ink liquid therein, and a constant flow rate pump for supplying the ink liquid to a nozzle. The constant flow rate pump integrally includes three pressure chambers, which are divided by two diaphragms and coaxial pistons. The first pressure chamber functions to introduce an ink liquid collected by a beam gutter of the ink jet system printer for returning the ink liquid to the ink liquid reservoir. The second pressure chamber functions to introduce the ink liquid from the ink liquid reservoir and develop the ink liquid toward the third pressure chamber. The third pressure chamber receives the ink liquid from the second pressure chamber and develops the ink liquid to the nozzle.
