  • Publication number: 20260142696
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. Some aspects more specifically relate to multiple input multiple output (MIMO) spinal code encoding schemes. In some aspects, a transmitter may encode a message in accordance with configuration information associated with a MIMO spinal code encoding scheme, resulting in a vector that includes multiple spinal symbols. The transmitter may further map the multiple spinal symbols to multiple transmit antennas, such as by distributing the multiple spinal symbols across multiple layers associated with the multiple transmit antennas and across one or more resource elements (REs) in accordance with the configuration information. The transmitter may transmit, using the multiple transmit antennas and the one or more REs, and a receiver may receive, using multiple receive antennas and the one or more REs, the multiple spinal symbols.

  • Publication number: 20250385750
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), may receive, from a network entity, an indication of a puncturing scheme for a spinal coding scheme based on a capability of the UE, where the puncturing scheme indicates a puncturing distribution for one or more symbols of one or more spines of the spinal coding scheme. The UE may receive a message encoded by the network entity according to the spinal coding scheme associated with the puncturing scheme. The UE may decode the message encoded according to the spinal coding scheme to obtain one or more message segments corresponding to the one or more symbols and to the one or more spines based on the puncturing distribution of the puncturing scheme.

  • Patent number: 12323241
Abstract: Method and apparatus for compression in wireless communication systems. The apparatus compresses a signal based on an encoder scheme, wherein an encoded signal comprises at least a first CRC associated with a prediction index and a second CRC associated with a prediction information component. The apparatus transmits, to a second wireless device, the encoded signal comprising at least the first CRC associated with the prediction index and the second CRC associated with the prediction information component. The apparatus may be configured to compress the signal such that the signal comprises one or more parity bits, where the one or more parity bits correspond to a difference between a frame of the signal and at least one subsequent frame of the signal.

  • Publication number: 20240340695
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some cases, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a control message indicating semi-persistent (SP) resources for multiple wireless devices scheduling within a set of resource reservation periods. The UE may measure one or more channel conditions of a channel during a first resource reservation period of the set of resource reservation periods, the channel associated with the SP resources for the multiple wireless devices. Additionally, the UE may adapt a compression parameter of one or more signals to be transmitted to the multiple wireless devices during the first resource reservation period based on the one or more channel conditions and may transmit, to the multiple wireless devices, one or more compressed signals generated based on the compression parameter and the one or more signals.

  • Publication number: 20240322944
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A transmitter device may encode information for a message using a spinal code. The transmitter device may divide the information into sets of bits each including a variable quantity k of bits, and map the sets of bits to symbols to generate a message. The transmitter device may transmit the symbols in an order based on the k values (symbols with smaller k values at the beginning of the message and larger k values at the end). Based on receiving the message, a receiver device may identify the k of each symbol and decode the symbols. The receiver device may identify a partial codeword or determine a likelihood of error associated with the message, which the receiver device may indicate via a feedback message. The transmitter device may retransmit a portion of the message based on the feedback.
