  • Publication number: 20220307491
Abstract: A system comprises a variable displacement pump, a metering valve, a bypass line, a pressure regulating valve, a position sensor, and a control system. At least one fuel nozzle can be in fluid communication with the output line downstream of the metering valve, wherein the variable displacement pump is configured to supply fuel to the at least one fuel nozzle. The metering valve can be disposed in the output line for controlling outlet flow from the variable displacement pump. The system can also include an actuator line parallel to the variable displacement pump and connected to the output line to provide actuation pressure from pump output of the variable displacement pump.

  • Publication number: 20210301766
Abstract: A system includes a flow inlet conduit. A primary conduit branches from the flow inlet conduit for delivering flow to a set of primary nozzles. An equalization bypass valve (EBV) connects between the flow inlet conduit and a secondary conduit for delivering flow to a set of secondary nozzles. The EBV is connected to be controlled to apportion flow from the flow inlet conduit to the secondary conduit. A regulator valve is connected to be controlled by a pressure differential between pressure in the flow inlet conduit (PIN) and pressure in the secondary conduit (PSEC) to apportion flow from an inlet of the regulator valve to the flow inlet conduit.

  • Publication number: 20210301725
Abstract: A system includes a flow inlet conduit and a primary conduit that branches from the flow inlet conduit for delivering flow to a set of primary nozzles. An equalization bypass valve (EBV) connects between the flow inlet conduit and a secondary conduit for delivering flow to a set of secondary nozzles. The EBV is connected to an equalization conduit (EC) to apportion flow from the flow inlet conduit to the secondary conduit. A pressure equalization solenoid (PES) is connected to the EC to selectively connect at least one of a servo supply pressure (PFA) conduit or return pressure (PDF) conduit into fluid communication with the EC. A relief management valve (RMV) is connected in the PDF conduit.

An equalization bypass valve (EBV) connects between the flow inlet conduit and a secondary conduit for delivering flow to a set of secondary nozzles. The EBV is connected to an equalization conduit (EC). A pressure equalization solenoid is connected to the EC to selectively connect a servo supply pressure conduit and/or a return pressure (PDF) conduit into fluid communication with the EC. An EBV rate limiting orifice (RLO) is connected in the PDF conduit. A bypass conduit branches from the PDF conduit on a first side of the EBV RLO and reconnects to the PDF conduit on a second side of the EBV RLO. An orifice bypass valve (OBV) is connected to the bypass conduit and acts to selectively bypass the EBV RLO.

  • Publication number: 20150276088
Abstract: A pressure regulating valve includes a housing having a cavity therein with at least a first port, a second port and a third port in fluidic communication with the cavity, and a spool movable within the cavity. The spool separates the cavity into at least a first space and a second space, the first port and the second port are in alterable fluidic communication with the first space with movement of the spool altering a flow area connecting the first port with the second port. The third port connects to the second space through a variable flow area opening that is configured to alter a rate of movement of the spool.
