  • Patent number: 12082095
Abstract: Techniques for network subscriber management. These techniques include establishing a first virtual private network (VPN) connection between a first base station and a VPN host and a second VPN connection between a second base station and the VPN host. The techniques further include receiving a request at the first base station from a first mobile device and determining, using the first VPN connection, that the first mobile device does not have a recognized associated identifier, and in response assigning a mobile subscriber identifier. The techniques further include routing a first cellular communication from the first base station to the first mobile device using the identifier, receiving a second cellular communication at the first base station from the first mobile device, and routing the second cellular communication to at least one of: (i) the second base station using the second VPN connection or (ii) an external communication network.

  • Publication number: 20240129000
Abstract: Wireless communication techniques are disclosed. These techniques include a plurality of base stations, each of the plurality of bases stations operating in a respective area and communicating with one or more mobile stations in the respective area using a primary communication technique. One or more of the plurality of base stations are configured to communicate with a backhaul using an ad-hoc radio frequency link with another of the plurality of base stations. The ad-hoc radio frequency link utilizes an independent radio and frequency band from the primary communication technique with which the respective base station communicates with mobile stations.

  • Patent number: 11785527
Abstract: Techniques for cellular network subscriber management. A request for cellular service is received at a base station from a mobile device. The base station is communicatively coupled to a plurality of other base stations using a virtual private network (VPN) connection. It is determined, based on a first communication from the base station to a database using the VPN connection, that the mobile device does not have a recognized associated identifier, and in response an identifier for the mobile device is assigned. A second communication is routed from the base station to the mobile device using the identifier.
