  • Publication number: 20200078509
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for treatment of ear canal through a micro-dispenser-based treatment system. In some examples, ear canal irrigating fluids may be dispensed in a controlled volume and pressure through one or more micro-dispensers to dissolve and remove ear wax in a gentle and safe manner without harming the eardrum. Through positioning of the micro-dispensers or nozzles of the micro-dispensers, the fluid may be aimed directly at specific areas within the ear canal with a high degree of precision.

  • Publication number: 20190143574
Abstract: A process for laminating elements together to form an article having a predetermined shape including an interior cavity comprises: placing a first sheet atop a first die; placing a first pressure introduction port atop the first sheet; placing a second sheet atop the first port and atop the first sheet; placing a second die atop the second sheet; clamping the first sheet, first port, and second sheet between the first and second dies to form an assembly comprising first die, first sheet, pressure introduction port, second sheet, and second die; introducing an applied gas pressure between the first and second sheets of the assembly, via the first pressure introduction port; heating the assembly to a temperature at which the first and second sheets can thermally deform, thereby achieving simultaneous lamination and blow molding of the first and second sheets; and cooling the assembly, such that the article is created.

  • Publication number: 20160256714
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for providing medical imaging during radiation therapy. In one embodiment, a radiation therapy system includes an x-ray apparatus and a monitoring apparatus. The x-ray apparatus is configured for delivery of a therapeutic beam of radiation to tissue of a patient. The monitoring apparatus is configured for monitoring production of free radicals within the tissue during the delivery in order to determine the path taken by the x-ray beam of radiation through the tissue. A computer program product for controlling radiation therapy is provided. Methods for calibrating the radiation therapy system and for providing radiation therapy are included. In some embodiments, the monitoring apparatus may be configured for monitoring production of biomarkers within the tissue, the biomarkers including at least one of free radicals, burst vesicles, dissociation of an adduct and an indication of protein damage.

  • Publication number: 20140087296
Abstract: A display element is described. The display element includes: a network; a continuous phase; and a discontinuous mobile phase, which is capable of responding to an externally applied electric field such that under influence of the externally applied electric field, without effecting bulk movement of the continuous phase, the mobile phase displaces from one location to another location through or within the network. A process of manufacturing a display cell is also described. The process includes: obtaining a pair of electrodes; placing a network between the electrodes; assembling the electrodes and the network to form a sub-assembly; and injecting into the subassembly a discontinuous phase.
