  • Patent number: 11827860
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide an integrated process for the pre-treatment of biomass and its use as a feedstock in a process for the production of biochemicals and biofuels, said integrated process preferably allowing the obtaining of quality bio-oil from a biomass such as wood, forest residues, and residues from the sugar-alcohol and energy cane industry.

    Assignee: Suzano S.A.
Inventors: Danilo Ribeiro De Lima, Matheus Antunes Guimaraes, Barry Freel, Geoffrey D. Hopkins
  • Publication number: 20230340333
Abstract: The present invention relates the use of a microfibrillated cellulose as a suspension stabilizer agent, a network structuring agent, or a network structuring additive in the manufacture of a liquid composition having a particulate system. Preferably, the microfibrillated cellulose is present from 0.5% to 5.0% in a stabilized liquid composition. The stabilized liquid composition also has a particulate system, having a plurality of particles, a plurality of capsules or mixtures thereof.

  • Publication number: 20230175203
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process to produce highly microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) and nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC). The invention also refers to a microfibrillated/nanofibrillated cellulose produced according to such process. The microfib-rillated/nanofibrillated cellulose is obtained by subjecting a cellulose fiber in a slurry of cellulose pulp to multiple mechanical impacts. The cycle may be repeated several times. Non-cutting bars disposed in a ring formation is the preferred configuration. At least two rings concentrically arranged facing each other in high rotation transmit the kinetic energy to the fibers to provide the highly defibrillated microfibrillated/nanofibrillated cellulose.
