  • Patent number: 10187112
Abstract: Various methods of detecting leakage of a signal from a Data-Over-Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS) 3.1 channel are disclosed, including using a DOCSIS 3.1-defined “exclusion band” to insert existing tagger-based test carriers, using a power signature algorithm to detect the presence of DOCSIS 3.1-defined pilot carriers, and using a time-based correlation technique to detect the presence of DOCSIS 3.1-defined cyclic prefixes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 4, 2016
Date of Patent: January 22, 2019
    Assignee: Viavi Solutions, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20170006839
Abstract: This document describes methods and apparatuses for naturally scattering cremation remains over an area such as a garden, forest, park, open space, or graveyard while also creating a living memorial for the deceased. The methods use the natural actions of bees as the means for the scattering of the ashes.

  • Publication number: 20150098750
Abstract: A heat isolating actuator linkage (805, 905) that includes a rod end housing (810, 910) including a bearing opening (814, 914) with a rod end ball (812, 912) disposed therein. A race insert (816, 916) is disposed between the rod end housing (810, 910) and the rod end ball (812, 912). A threaded portion (818, 918) extends from the rod end housing (810, 910) and may comprise male or female threads. A shield (830, 930) extends from the rod end housing (810, 910). The shield (830, 930) is integrally formed with the rod end housing (810, 910). The shield (830, 930) extends around a majority of the rod end housing (810, 910) and may extend to one side of the bearing opening (814, 914). Alternatively, a first portion (932) of the shield may extend towards one side of the bearing opening (914) and a second portion (932) of the shield may extend towards the other side.

  • Publication number: 20080217899
Abstract: A ground cover removal attachment for a vehicle such as a quad bike, for moving a sheet ground cover while on the ground, in an orchard for example, comprises an arm (2) with a connection (10) at one end of the arm (2) for mounting the arm (2) to a vehicle so that the arm (2) extends outwardly of one side of the vehicle, and an outer end of the arm (2) shaped (14, 15, 16, 17) to engage the ground cover on one side of the ground cover to move the ground cover to the side of the vehicle as the vehicle moves alongside the ground cover.

  • Publication number: 20070162921
Abstract: A data disc protector and a method for using same to protect data discs stored in data disc storage cases is disclosed. Embodiments of the data disc protector comprise a protective sheet of material sized to fit between a data disc and a back cover of a data disc storage case and adapted to form a barrier between the back cover and the data disc when sandwiched between a data disc and the back cover. The data disc protector forms a physical barrier inhibiting the transfer of airborne hydrocarbons emitted by plastics in the storage case to the disc and preventing the data disc from contacting the back cover during storage. Embodiments of the data disc protector are made of a material that traps hydrocarbons. Embodiments of the data disc protector are provided with a central aperture adapted to allow installation on a hub in the storage case.
