    Abstract: A method for producing a map of a target area illustrating reflective objects at selected range points. A polarized signal of cyclically varying frequency is radiated at the target area and the polarization of the radiated signal is changed at predetermined times. The map of the target area illustrates the magnitude of reflection of the radiated signal at each range point and for each polarization value. The degree of reflectivity for each reflective object in the target area is determined through the use of amplitude only signals.
