The patch evaluation system determines if a software patch is safe before making the patch available for installation. If the patch evaluation system determines a patch is unsafe, the patch is quarantined, placed in a queue for manual review, and/or is designated as not available for installation. For example, the system evaluates every patch for known malware before making that patch available to users for installation.

This technique describes the ability to represent that starting packet in such a way that it gives the gross details of your original data set. Subsequent transfers will fill in the additional data so that the full detailed data is eventually displayed. This allows you to provide the user with the ability to see the partial dataset without waiting for the entire data to be transferred. This may be important in mobile applications where the power consumption is limits the performance of the system.

Currently, simultaneous audio and video conversations (such as mobile to mobile video conferencing) are only possible with devices that have a forward facing camera (because the user must both be able to see and be seen by the person on the other line). The invention makes a device with only a rear facing camera into a usable video phone by turning the image from rear facing to forward facing.
