  • Patent number: 10850473
Abstract: Aquatic Structures are disclosed that include a nonwoven fiber mat, a connecting material, an anchor and a protective coating. The nonwoven fiber mat may be in the form of a roll having multiple layers and the connecting material may connect those layers. The roll may be submerged in a body of water and the anchor may be connected to a floor of the body of water. Uses of those aquatic structures are also taught.

  • Publication number: 20160366982
Abstract: A footwear traction device is provided that is removably attachable to an item of footwear. The footwear traction device comprises a traction portion having one or more traction elements on a bottom thereof, a heel support portion disposed at a rear traction portion, and a forefoot support portion disposed at a forefoot traction portion. A cable extends through cable guides or channels and attaches the traction portion, the heel support portion, and the forefoot support portion together. A cable reel device is rotatably operable to adjust a length of the cable to selectively secure and unsecure the footwear traction device to the item of footwear. Shortening the length of the cable tightens the traction portion, the heel support portion and the forefoot support portion inwardly against the item of footwear, thereby securing the footwear traction device to the footwear.

  • Publication number: 20120203744
Abstract: Current computing solutions often involve the sharing of data across multiple computer implemented processes. To ensure data integrity throughout the execution environment, an executing process can make a request for data from a Data Provider. In response to the request, the Data Provider can bundle the data and one or more Validation Objects in a Data Object. The Data Object can be passed between executing processes, and at any point in the execution, an executing process can verify the integrity of the data by making a request to the Data Object. To facilitate the passing of Data Objects throughout a heterogeneous execution environment, a Data Object can create a representation of itself specific to the target system. The Data Objects are advantageous in that all of the necessary validation checks are centralized, thus decreasing maintenance costs and the possibility of error.

  • Patent number: 7981891
Abstract: The present invention relates to chemical compounds having a general formula I wherein A1-8, D?, L1, L2, R1, R6-8 and n are defined herein, and synthetic intermediates, which are capable of modulating various protein kinase receptor enzymes and, thereby, influencing various disease states and conditions related to the activities of such kinases. For example, the compounds are capable of modulating Aurora kinase thereby influencing the process of cell cycle and cell proliferation to treat cancer and cancer-related diseases. The invention also includes pharmaceutical compositions, including the compounds, and methods of treating disease states related to the activity of Aurora kinase.

  • Patent number: 7150768
Abstract: A cell such as a lithium ion cell consists of an anode and a cathode comprising respective lithium ion insertion materials, separated by an electrolyte. A practical cell may be made by stacking a plurality of anode plates (14) and cathode plates (12) alternately, and interleaving a continuous layer (10) of polymer electrolyte or separator material between successive anode and cathode plates so it forms a zigzag. If the continuous layer is a separator, the assembly is then contacted with a solution comprising lithium salt in a compatible organic solvent, which provides the cell electrolyte. This procedure enables cells to be made with thin electrolyte layers, for example less than 30 ?m thick, and hence of low internal resistance.

  • Patent number: 4065965
Abstract: An electromagnetic flowmeter having a flow tube wherein the electrodes leads pass through potting material forming part of the lining of the flow tube. The leads emerge at the exterior of the flow tube at three points, two of which substantially are at the electrodes, and one of which is between the two electrodes, via conduits embedded in the potting material and exiting from the flow tube at said points. The leads are accessible for repair or replacement.
