  • Publication number: 20240035590
Abstract: In a segmented ball valve for low noise and anti-cavitation applications, a replaceable cartridge is fixed inside and retained by stem and end post. The segment has a machined cylindrical bore with a slide-fit noise cartridge, enabling field replaceability with minor effort & without need of welding or fasteners. The replaceable cartridge also enables use of a fully cylindrical cartridge with greater pressure reduction stages compared to welded-on noise plates on the segment. The segment has a flattened front face resulting in lower Fd enabled by dual flow path in lower openings values thereby attaining higher noise attenuation where the cartridge is not required. The curved plates of the low noise and anti-cavitation cartridge enable: expanding flow resulting in non-impinging jet streams thereby achieving higher noise attenuation in one direction; and converging flow in the opposite direction resulting in reduction of flow energy, and the potential for cavitation for liquids.

  • Publication number: 20240007383
Abstract: In the presence of a network fault condition preventing communication between a communication device and a network device of a first network, a method includes receiving a heartbeat request from the communication device requesting permission for the communication device to perform a device operation. The method further includes obtaining device state data associated with the communication device and determining whether the communication device is permitted to perform the device operation based on the device state data associated with the communication device. When the communication device is permitted to perform the device operation, the method also includes transmitting a heartbeat confirmation signal to the communication device. The heartbeat confirmation signal permits the communication device to perform the device operation.

  • Publication number: 20230410129
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for adjusting decision reliability scores (e.g., weights) in weighted consensus algorithms for blockchains include accessing broadcast events in a blockchain, where the broadcast events correspond to a historic period of time. A broadcast decision provided by a participant in the blockchain for each of the broadcast events may be identified. A consensus decision for each of the broadcast events may be identified where the consensus decision indicates whether there is a consensus among participants in the blockchain that a corresponding broadcast event should be added as a new node to the blockchain. A success rate may be calculated for the participant based the identified broadcast decision provided by the participant for each of the broadcast events and the identified consensus decision for each of the broadcast events. Based on the success rate, the decision reliability score for the participant may be increased, decreased, or maintained.

An approach for to dynamic scheduling of smart notifications may be presented herein. The approach may include obtaining historical decision event data for an organization. Historical decision data may include details regarding the importance of the historical decision event to the organization, individuals within the organization associated with the decision event, and benchmarks of the historical decision event. The approach may include analyzing a future decision event based on a decision event model trained with the historical decision event data. The approach may include identifying one or more priority factors associated with the future decision event data based on the analysis of the decision event priority model. A smart notification may be scheduled for the decision event, based on the identified priority factors.

  • Patent number: 11669778
Abstract: Machine learning based techniques are described for identifying sanctionable persons via monitoring a plurality of electronic content sources. This may allow for more rapid identification of prohibited or restricted transactions. A trained sentiment analysis classifier may classify a particular electronic content item as containing sanctionable conduct. An electronic textual analysis of the electronic content item may be performed to identify one or more individual names within the particular electronic content item. An indication as to whether the one or more individual names have been identified as individuals who may be subject to one or more sanction requirements that prohibit one or more online actions may be electronically stored in a data table. Various operations may be performed to block or otherwise restrict online accounts associated with the individual from performing online activities.

  • Publication number: 20230148340
Abstract: An environmental frequency sensing device, includes logic that performs signal strength (SS) level separation on a received band of frequencies to produce SS level separated frequencies. The logic performs frequency grouping on the SS level separated frequencies for each signal strength level to produce magnitude information for each grouping. The logic generates peak data by detecting peaks of the produced magnitude information. The logic generates an edge event indicating a signal edge based on arrival or departure of a given peak and compares, on a frequency basis, generated edges to stored fingerprint data of a signal of interest. Based on the comparison, the logic provides detected signal data indicating current use of a range of frequencies in an environment.
