  • Patent number: 12145159
Abstract: A flotation machine includes a wash water system that is connectable adjacent a tank to direct sprays of water into froth within a froth zone. Wash water panel assemblies of the system can be positioned adjacent the tank so that each of the wash water panel assemblies are moveable between an open position and a closed position. Each wash water panel assembly can include an outer panel body that at least partially defines a reservoir in which wash water is passable and a spray membrane positionable adjacent the outer panel body. The spray membrane can have a plurality of spray holes in fluid communication with the reservoir such that water is passable from the reservoir and through the spray membrane via the spray holes for spraying water into the froth in the froth zone.

  • Patent number: 11668536
Abstract: The following provides a system and method to predict an indicator of tube fouling in a fired apparatus such as a boiler. Historical data can be collected when the tubing is still considered to be clean, and used to build a first model between an indicator of fouling, such as tube skin temperature, and boiler load. The actual measurement of that indicator of fouling can then be compared against the model output, such that the error between the model and measurement is considered an indication of the tube fouling. Moreover, the rate of change of the model error can be used to measure the fouling rate. Next, historical data on the fluid feed quality can be collected and together with the historical error rate change data can be combined to develop a second model. This second model reflects how fluid feed quality variables may affect the fouling rate over time.

  • Publication number: 20050069613
Abstract: A return liquid containing particles resulting from treating food is treated to reduce the size of the particles and recycled for further food treatment. Embodiments include injecting a solution into a body of meat, recovering a return solution containing particulate material resulting from injecting the body of meat, optionally reducing the temperature of the return solution, mechanically reducing the particle size of the particulate material in the return solution to form a reduced return solution, conveying the reduced return solution to a holding tank and recycling the reduced return solution for injection into a body of meat. Embodiments also include a system for recycling a food treating liquid comprising a mechanical milling device, an optional chilling device, and a holding tank comprising first, second and third sections, a first weir separating the first and second sections, and a second weir separating the second and third sections, wherein the second weir extends higher than the first weir.

  • Publication number: 20050021830
Abstract: A data transmission method and system is disclosed in which one or more data streams are transmitted at respective transmission rates which are controlled to prevent data buffers in the receiver from overflowing. In some embodiments feedback data concerning the state of each buffer in a receiving client is received at the transmitting server, and used to adapt the sending rates to achieve the effect. Information indicative of the data decode rates or the fill extent of each buffer is communicated to the server as the feedback data. In other embodiments the server makes an open-loop estimate of the remaining space in the buffer, and controls the transmission rate accordingly. A data receiving method and system adapted to receive the data streams is also disclosed.
