Patent number: 8604981Abstract: A method of forming an antenna by providing a first panel including a first conductive sheet secured to a sheet of dielectric material and forming one or more radiating elements and/or a feed network in the conductive sheet by forming grooves in the conductive sheet. The first panel may be a construction grade building panel or a similar suitable panel. The method enables panel antennas to be manufactured using inexpensive materials using inexpensive manufacturing processes.Type: GrantFiled: July 17, 2008Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: Times-7 Holdings LimitedInventor: Mathias Martin Ernest Ehlen

Patent number: 8558739Abstract: An antenna control system enabling the remote variation of antenna beam tilt. A drive means continuously adjusts phase shifters of a feed distribution network to radiating elements to continuously vary antenna beam tilt. A controller enables the beam tilt of a number of antenna at a site to be remotely varied.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 2001Date of Patent: October 15, 2013Assignee: Andrew LLCInventors: William Emil Heinz, Mathias Martin Ernest Ehlen

Publication number: 20080042848Abstract: The present invention relates to vehicle license plates and a method of making vehicle license plates having an integrated antenna for use with radio frequency identification (RFID) devices. In a preferred form, the license plate 10 of the present invention comprises a conductive sheet 12 forming at least part of the license plate 10, a slot 14 or notch provided on the conductive sheet 12, and a radio frequency transponder operatively coupled to the conductive sheet 12 to use the slot 14 or notch as an antenna.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 14, 2006Publication date: February 21, 2008Inventors: Arthur Roberts, Mathias Martin Ernerst Ehlen

Patent number: 6884071Abstract: A mixing capsule, especially for the production of dental materials, comprises a cartridge that is closed on one end by a piston. The piston has a hemispherical recess that forms a secondary chamber and is closed off from the main chamber of the cartridge by a separating device. A body that is provided in the initial state in the main chamber is used to facilitate the mixing process and to penetrate the separating device at the beginning of the process, whereby the main chamber and the secondary chamber form a single mixing area. The body preferably disintegrates during the mixing process.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2001Date of Patent: April 26, 2005Assignee: 3 M ESPE AGInventor: Mathias Martin

Publication number: 20040066353Abstract: A method of mounting an antenna to a support, the method including the steps of: a) mounting first and second clamps to the support; b) tightening the first clamp around the support; c) mounting the antenna to the first clamp; d) after step c), moving the second clamp along the support away from the first clamp into engagement with the antenna; and e) tightening the second clamp around the support. The antenna is suspended from the first clamp by gripping the antenna below its upper end; lifting the upper end of the antenna over the first clamp mounted at an elevated position; and lowering the upper end of the antenna onto the first clamp so that interlocking male and female parts of the clamp and the antenna couple together. The clamp has three or more clamping members and three or more tighteners which can each be adjusted to tighten together a respective pair of adjacent clamping members so as to tighten the clamp around the support. The clamp can be provided in kit form.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2002Publication date: April 8, 2004Inventors: Mathias Martin Ernest Ehlen, John Heywood Thomson, Jamie M. Paske, Danny R. Knight
