    Abstract: A system and method for transmitting information over a plurality of communication links. In one embodiment, the invention includes a method for transmitting information over a plurality of physical communication links. The method includes bonding the plurality of physical communication links to generate a logical link comprising the plurality of physical communication links. Control means are provided for controlling the logical link. The information is transmitted over the plurality of physical communication links belonging to the logical link under the control of the control means.
