  • Publication number: 20220306919
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dimensionally stable adhesive compound which is formulated so as to be largely water- and solvent-free and can be brought into contact with the substrate to be bonded by being wiped on in the form of a thin adhesive film that is suitable in particular for bonding materials obtained from plant fibers. The organic constituent of the adhesive compound according to the invention consists predominantly of polyester polyurethanes, at least some of which are based on semi-crystalline polyester polyols. The invention also relates to a method for applying a tacky film to a planar substrate, preferably to paper, by wiping the adhesive compound onto the point of contact with the substrate.

The organic constituent of the adhesive compound according to the invention consists predominantly of a mixture of polyether polyurethanes which are end-capped with at least two monohydric aliphatic alcohols of different chain lengths. The invention also relates to a method for applying a tacky film to a planar substrate, preferably to paper, by wiping the adhesive compound onto the point of contact with the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11034844
Abstract: The invention relates to a dimensionally stable preparation which can be abraded on flat materials, containing a translucent water-based polymer-containing carrier composition and platelet-shaped solid particles. The platelet-shaped solid particles have an average maximum diameter ranging from 2 to 40 ?m and are contained in the preparation in a proportion by volume specified by the selected particle size in order to achieve a sheen which is clearly perceptible to the human eye while simultaneously having good abrasion properties. In a sub-aspect of the invention, the preparations according to the invention further have adhesive properties such that the abraded film is best suited for securing flat decorative elements or generally for adhering flat porous materials.

  • Patent number: 8790628
Abstract: Cosmetic products for temporary deformation of keratinic fibers, containing, in a cosmetic carrier present in the form of a dispersed system, at least one starch modified with propylene oxide and having an average molecular weight (weight average) of from 50 to 2500 kDa, the products providing a hairstyle with a strong hold and high flexibility. The starches modified with propylene oxide are based on renewable raw materials. In this way, effective styling agents for hair can be provided and the content of polymeric raw materials based on fossil fuels reduced.

  • Publication number: 20120328532
Abstract: Cosmetic agents for temporarily reshaping keratin fibers, particularly human hair, containing in a cosmetic carrier at least one starch modified with propylene oxide, the starch having an average molecular weight (weight-average) of 50 to 2,500 kDa and a propylene oxide content of 4 to 6 wt. % (based on weight of the starch modified with propylene oxide), wherein the agents achieve styling with a good degree of hold and elevated flexibility. The propylene oxide-modified starches are based on renewable raw materials. Here, effective styling agents for hair can be provided without having to rely on setting polymers obtained from fossil fuels.
