  • Publication number: 20230405537
Abstract: A clamping platform for a mechanical shaker, which allows automated release and fastening of microtiter plates that are subject to tolerances, includes at least two mounts arranged pairwise for the releasable fastening of the microtiter plates. The platform includes clamping jaws, on which a compression spring acts, actuatable with a link control having a linear drive. In conjunction with the compression spring, the geometry of the guide links allows compensation for the dimensional tolerances of the microtiter plates that are to be fixed by clamping. The spring force of the compression spring is determined such that the clamping jaws that are loaded by the compression spring exert the required clamping force in the deployed position onto the microtiter plates to be fixed.

  • Patent number: 10619129
Abstract: A method for the regulated humidification and temperature control of a gas mixture in an inner chamber of an incubator, which inner chamber is sealed off from the surroundings by a housing, includes conducting heat from at least one condensation surface inside the incubator, which at least one condensation surface is separate from the inner surfaces of the inner chamber, is conducted out of the incubator to the outside through a wall delimiting the inner chamber by a heat conductor. Outside the incubator, the heat conductor is connected to a cooling body which releases the heat to the relatively cold ambient air. The method allows dispensing with a cooling unit and at the same time avoid sources of contamination due to moisture condensing out.

  • Patent number: 10279327
Abstract: An orbital shaker with a balancing device that automatically and passively compensates, without supply of external energy, forces and moments which are caused by imbalance and arise during operation, in particular as a result of a possible variable loading (mass, geometry of the containers, properties of the contents) and variable operating parameters (speed of rotation and shaking radius). The balancing device can be designed such that only the unbalance forces (static balancing) and/or the unbalance moments (dynamic balancing) are compensated.

  • Patent number: 6792915
Abstract: The fuel supply apparatus for supplying fuel to an internal combustion engine has a fuel tank (2), a first fuel pump (6) that supplies fuel from the fuel tank to a fuel line (10), a second fuel pump (12) that supplies fuel from the fuel line (10) via a pressurized line to at least one fuel valve (16) and a fuel return line (22) that connects the fuel line (10) to the fuel tank for return of excess fuel. A shut off valve (30), which is closed at high temperatures, and a pressure regulator valve (26) are arranged hydraulically in series in the fuel return line (22). A fuel scavenger line (60) is provided, by which fuel at high temperatures is returned to the fuel tank (2). The fuel scavenger line (60) conducts the fuel back to the fuel tank (2), at least partially through the second fuel pump (12) and through a hydraulic resistance. Gas bubble formation is prevented by a high fuel supply pressure and by transfer of heat from the second fuel pump (12).

  • Publication number: 20020170539
Abstract: A fuel system for supplying fuel to an internal combustion engine includes a storage tank and a first fuel pump, which is connected on the input side to the storage tank. A second fuel pump is connected on the input side to the first fuel pump via a fuel connection. The system also includes a pressure adjusting device for the output side of the second fuel pump and a pressure damping device disposed in the fuel connection between the first fuel pump and the second fuel pump. Cost of the system is reduced by a flow inhibitor, which only permits a flow in the direction of the second fuel pump, disposed in the fuel connection between the first fuel pump and the second fuel pump, close to the second fuel pump and upstream of an inlet of the pressure adjusting device in terms of the flow direction.

  • Patent number: 6170466
Abstract: The invention relates to a quantity control valve for a fuel injection system, used in internal combustion engines, which includes a longitudinal slide that is movable in a valve housing between a first and a second control chamber and that allocates the fuel, flowing in from at least one low-pressure pump, to at least one high-pressure pump. For driving the longitudinal slide, the inflowing fuel is delivered into the first control chamber via a throttle or baffle valve, past the longitudinal slide. In the second control chamber, there is either a restoring spring that urges the longitudinal slide in the direction of its closing position, or the longitudinal slide there has an effective face-end surface area upstream of which a control line containing a throttle valve ends; this end face is smaller in surface area than the effective surface area of the face end in the first control chamber.
