  • Publication number: 20200150225
Abstract: A transmission phase shift (?02, ?03) can be determined, as it exists between at least two transmission paths (101, 102, 103) of a radar. For this purpose, components of a radar return signal, in a one-to-one relation to the transmission radiations (R1) which are separately produced by the two transmission paths, are identified by different modulations. It is then possible to compensate for each transmission phase shift in order to better control the transmission-reception direction of the radar as well as the beam shape. The development is applicable in particular to MIMO type radars.

  • Patent number: 10432253
Abstract: Noise distribution shaping for signals, particularly for the application in receivers for CDMA signals. An embodiment provides a method for noise distribution shaping for signals comprising the acts of generating a blanking control signal by comparing a received signal comprising transitions with at least one blanking threshold, determining transitions of the received signal and zones around the determined transitions, and generating a transitions control signal comprising the determined transitions and zones, adapting the at least one blanking threshold or the received signal according to an offset value depending on the amplitude of the received signal and on the transitions control signal, and modifying the noise distribution of the received signal by applying blanking of the received signal under control of the blanking control signal.

  • Publication number: 20190209051
Abstract: Methods for a touchscreen-based hand dexterity test are provided. In one aspect, a method includes providing for display, on a touchscreen, a model path. The method also includes receiving, from the touchscreen, a plurality of user touch points. The method also includes fitting the plurality of user touch points to a user path. The method also includes sampling an array of user points along the user path and sampling an array of model points along the model path. The method also includes associating each model point in the array of model points with a corresponding user point in the array of user points, wherein the associating enforces a perpendicularity constraint. The method also includes determining a test result based on the associating. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10348344
Abstract: Noise distribution shaping for signals, particularly for the application in receivers for CDMA signals. A method for noise distribution shaping for signals comprises the acts of receiving a signal of interest from a signal transmitter, detecting whether the received signal of interest is present, and if the received signal of interest is present iteratively performing the following acts of adapting at least one blanking threshold or the received signal of interest according to an offset value depending on the amplitude of the received signal of interest, and generating a blanking control signal by comparing the received signal of interest with the at least one blanking threshold, modifying the noise distribution of the received signal of interest by applying blanking of the received signal of interest under control of the blanking control signal.

  • Patent number: 9979434
Abstract: An apparatus comprising a blanker configured to provide a plurality of blanked signals, each blanked signal corresponding to a respective correlator channel signal of a plurality of correlator channel signals. The correlator channel signal is obtainable based on the respective blanked signal and a respective signal replica of a plurality of signal replicas, the signal replicas being shifted with respect to each other. The blanker is configured to obtain each blanked signal based on applying a respective thresholding scheme to a respective signal component of a plurality of signal components derived from a received spread-spectrum signal. The respective thresholding scheme is based on the respective signal component and the signal replica based on which the correlator channel signal corresponding to the respective blanked signal is obtainable. A receiver comprising such an apparatus is provided as is a method comprising providing a plurality of blanked signals.
