  • Patent number: 7302919
Abstract: A control valve (10) for a fluid circulation circuit comprises a body (12) which is equipped with a fluid inlet (18) and with at least two fluid outlets (20, 22, 24) and which delimits a housing of revolution for an adjusting element (26) able to rotate about an axis of rotation (XX) and to adopt various angular positions to control the distribution of fluid through the outlets. The adjusting member (26) is surrounded by a sealing ring (42) in the form of an open annulus, which rotates as one with the adjusting member and is arranged with a small clearance around the adjusting member, this allowing the sealing ring to be pressed firmly internally against a side wall (16) into which the fluid outlets (20, 22, 24) open with a view to ensuring sealing under the action of the pressure of the fluid. Application in particular to motor vehicle fluid circuits.

  • Publication number: 20070271910
Abstract: The module comprises an intake air cooler (2) and a recirculated exhaust gas cooler (4). The intake air cooler (2) comprises an intake air inlet manifold (34) and an intake air outlet manifold (36). An inlet line (38) is connected to the inlet manifold (34) and an outlet line (40) is connected to the outlet manifold (36) of the feed air cooler (2). The recirculated exhaust gas cooler (4) comprises a recirculated exhaust gas inlet manifold (74) and a recirculated exhaust gas outlet manifold (76). A recirculated exhaust gas inlet line (42) is connected to the recirculated exhaust gas inlet manifold. A first bypass directly connects the inlet manifold to the outlet manifold of the recirculated exhaust gas cooler. Application to motor vehicles.

  • Patent number: 7255130
Abstract: A control valve (10) for a fluid circulation circuit comprises a body (12) which is equipped with a fluid inlet (18) and at least two fluid outlets (20, 22 and 24) and which delimits a cylindrical housing for an adjusting member (26) able to rotate about an axis of rotation (XX) and to adopt various angular positions in order to control the distribution of fluid through the outlets. The body (12) comprises an end wall (14) into which the fluid inlet (18) opens and a cylindrical side wall (16) into which the fluid outlets open at axial heights and at angular positions that are chosen with respect to the axis of rotation (XX). The rotary member (26) comprises a truncated end (38) facing toward the end wall (14), this making it possible to have control over the fluid outlets using a law defined as a function of the angular position of the rotary member in the valve body.

  • Patent number: 6470838
Abstract: A cooling circuit for a vehicle engine, traveled by fluid under pump action, comprises a cooling branch with a radiator associated with a motor-driven fan unit, and a heating branch containing an air heater. A first device establishes a hot-starting state of the engine as a function of chosen conditions; and a second device, active in this hot-starting state, controls the speed of the pump and the speed of the motor-driven fan unit under chosen conditions, as a function of a first magnitude representative of the temperature of the fluid and of a second magnitude representative of the heating demand.
