  • Patent number: 8916029
Abstract: A contaminated solvent recycling system is disclosed and claimed. The system comprises a distillation vessel having an upper distillation zone and a separate, lower, waste collection zone. A heater heats contaminated solvent feed within the distillation zone to distill off the solvent. By separating the distillation zone from the waste collection zone, the distillation zone can process consecutive batches of contaminated solvent feed. The waste collection zone can accommodate waste accumulating from the distillation process for extended periods of time between waste removal operations.

  • Publication number: 20090159102
Abstract: A parts cleaner for use in a process whereby solvent is preferred to always be available and is preferred to be as clean or pure as possible for use, comprising two containers respectively for clean solvent and for capture of used solvent or a single container having separate zones for clean and used solvent, said clean container having an outlet for supplying clean solvent for cleaning. The clean container may have an outlet for supplying clean solvent for cleaning and an inlet for clean recycled solvent, the used solvent container having an inlet for used solvent, an outlet for supplying used solvent for cleaning and an outlet for supplying used solvent for recycling. The used solvent container may have an outlet for supplying used solvent for cleaning and means for automatically switching between the outlets supplying said clean solvent and said used solvent for cleaning.

  • Publication number: 20090114521
Abstract: A contaminated solvent recycling system comprises a distillation vessel having a distillation zone and a separate waste collection zone and heating means for heating contaminated solvent feed within the distillation zone vessel to distill off the solvent. By separating the distillation zone from the waste collection zone, the distillation zone can be made small enough to process small consecutive batches of contaminated solvent feed whilst the waste collection zone can be made large enough to accommodate waste accumulating from the distillation process for extended periods of time between waste removal operations.
