  • Patent number: 8478477
Abstract: A method of managing maintenance of an aircraft. The method includes defining a recommended maintenance program for the aircraft. Maintenance deadlines for the recommended maintenance program are determined by using primary data from a testing of at least one of pieces of equipment and elements of the aircraft. Utilization data for the aircraft is used and stored. A calculation device is used to implement at least one algorithm to recalculate the maintenance deadlines as a function of the actual utilization data. The recommended maintenance program is updated.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2009
Date of Patent: July 2, 2013
    Assignee: Eurocopter
Inventors: Pierre-Loic Maisonneuve, Mathieu Glade, Samir Ghelam, Patrick Lyonnet
  • Patent number: 8190304
Abstract: An automatic configuration-tracking apparatus for tracking the configuration of a vehicle having a multitude of components for which it is desired to consult and record various items of data specific thereto, and their identification/authentication parameters, history, and operating state includes transponders. The transponders are coupled respectively to components of the vehicle. The transponders communicate this specific data via a meshed wireless network in order to enable the data to be transmitted by secure wireless transmission to an external installation. A secrecy perimeter coincides substantially with an outline of the vehicle.

    Assignee: Eurocopter
Inventors: Christian Feuillebois, Mathieu Glade, Eric Pauly
  • Patent number: 8073587
Abstract: A diagnostic method for locating a failure in a complex system that includes the steps of detecting operating information using a detector device; verifying a performance of the system based on the operating information; determining an operating status of the system to be one of “operational,” “non-operational” and “degraded” based on the operating information; comparing the operating information with predetermined data when the operation status is one of “operational,” “non-operational” and “degraded;” and generating at least one hypothesis as to a location of the failure of the system.

Date of Patent: December 6, 2011
    Assignee: Eurocopter
Inventors: Arnaud Lefebvre, Christian Feuillebois, Mathieu Glade
  • Publication number: 20100063933
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of optimizing the operational availability of at least one aircraft or of a fleet of aircraft as a function of constraints associated with maintenance and with the use of said aircraft, the method consisting in: using a forecast maintenance plan for the aircraft; adapting the forecast maintenance plan in real time as a function of maintenance operations carried out and/or as a function of unexpected maintenance operations that result from malfunctions diagnosed in one or more of the pieces of equipment of the aircraft; and adapting the forecast maintenance plan continuously as a function of the actual use of the aircraft so as to provide the manufacturer, the operator, and the maintenance services with a maintenance plan that is forecast and dynamic.

  • Publication number: 20090234517
Abstract: The invention relates to tracking the configuration of a vehicle (1) having a multitude of components for which it is desired to consult and record various items of data specific thereto, and their identification/authentication parameters, history, and operating state. A plurality of transponders (17, 17A), each coupled to one component of the vehicle (1), communicate this specific data via a meshed wireless network in order to enable the data to be transmitted by secure wireless transmission to an external installation (15). A secrecy perimeter coincides substantially with an outline of the vehicle (1).
