Abstract: An image recording device includes: a reading unit for reading an image of original paper; a paper storage for storing recording paper of a plurality of types; a recording unit for recording the image read by the reading unit, on the recording paper alternatively selected from the paper storage; an original information receiving unit for receiving paper information from an information chip which is provided on the original paper and on which the paper information is stored; and a selection control unit for selecting the recording paper to be used for an image recording based on the paper information received by the original information receiving unit.
