  • Publication number: 20110233254
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing wiping material includes a housing for holding at least one roll containing a continuous web of wiping material. The dispenser includes a feeding element for controlling the dispensing of the web, wherein the feeding element includes at least a drive roller, a pressure roller and a cutting device. The web is arranged to be fed from a first roll and into the feeding element, and an actuating mechanism operatively connected to the drive roller, wherein the actuating mechanism is actuated by a user applying a force to the actuating mechanism to dispense a predetermined length of wiping material. The actuating mechanism and the drive roller are connected by a lever, wherein the lever is in driving contact with the drive roller and is releasably connected to the actuating mechanism, and that the actuating mechanism and the lever are arranged to disconnect if the actuating mechanism is subjected to a force exceeding a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 6559453
Abstract: The present invention relates a method of enhancing contrast information from an x-ray detecting arrangement, when detecting a number of photons in said arrangement comprising at least two adjacently arranged sensors provided on one substrate, each sensor having a corresponding output signal, each of which can be influenced due to shared charge from a photon detected in one of said adjacent sensors, which detected photon indirectly creates an amount of free charges proportional to the photon energy, wherein said influence on said signal is considered by weighting said photon with respect to possible said photon charge-share between said at least two adjacent sensors.

  • Patent number: 4712915
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for holding an instrument aligned onto a movable reflector, which may have the form of a cube corner prism. The instrument has a transmitter which transmits a slightly divergent beam of electromagnetic radiation onto the reflector, and a receiver which receives the radiation reflected by the reflector. An optical periphery modulator is placed downstream of the transmitter in the proximity of a lens or in a collimated beam path. The modulator modulates differently various peripheral parts of the transmitted beam of radiation, and if the instrument is not correctly aligned with the prism, the modulator introduces a modulation of low frequency of the radiation received by the receiver in a manner such that the phase position of the modulation is dependent on the direction in which the transmitted beam of radiation deviates from optimal alignment with the prism, and such that the amplitude of the modulation signal is dependent on the extent of this deviation.
