  • Patent number: 8589496
Abstract: A method and arrangement for temporarily withholding notifications with client data of at least one observed client to a watching client when the watching client has an ongoing subscription for receiving the notifications from a client data server. When the watching client receives a subscription suspend trigger, the watching client sends a subscription suspend message to the client data server indicating that client data notifications should be temporarily withheld while retaining the subscription. When the watching client subsequently receives a subscription resume trigger, the watching client sends a subscription resume message to the client data server indicating that the suspended subscription shall be resumed and allowing client data notifications to be delivered again. The watching client then subsequently receives client data notifications according to the subscription.

  • Patent number: 8375426
Abstract: A method and arrangement for authorizing an initially unauthorized watching client to receive client data of an observed client from a client data server. The watching client sends an expanded request for client data to the server. The expanded request contains additional information such as a text string, a picture, or a video/audio clip. The server extracts the additional information and sends it to the observed client. The observed client can then decide whether to authorize the watching client to receive the observed client's data based on the additional information.

  • Patent number: 7909261
Abstract: A device including a primary fluid inlet, a secondary fluid inlet, a mixing chamber connected to the primary fluid inlet via en ejector nozzle and to the secondary fluid inlet, a fluid outlet connected to the mixing chamber for outflow of gas from the mixing a chamber, a valve arrangement having a valve member arranged to influence the secondary fluid inlet so as to adjust the amount of gas entering the mixing chamber from the secondary fluid inlet and a a temperature-dependent regulator connected to the valve arrangement for controlling the position of the valve member and thereby the amount of gas entering the mixing chamber from the secondary fluid inlet in dependence upon the temperature of the gas flowing through the primary fluid inlet or the fluid outlet. An aircraft anti-icing system including such a device and the use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20070084969
Abstract: The invention relates to a device comprising: a primary fluid inlet (2); a secondary fluid inlet (3); a mixing chamber (4) connected to the primary fluid inlet via en ejector nozzle (6) and to the secondary fluid inlet; a fluid outlet (5) connected to the mixing chamber for outflow of gas from the mixing chamber; a valve arrangement (10) having a valve member (11) arranged to influence the secondary fluid inlet so as to adjust the amount of gas entering the mixing chamber from the secondary fluid inlet; and a temperature-dependent regulating means (20) connected to the valve arrangement for controlling the position of the valve member and thereby the amount of gas entering the mixing chamber from the secondary fluid inlet in dependence upon the temperature of the gas flowing through the primary fluid inlet or the fluid outlet. The invention also relates to an aircraft anti-icing system comprising such a device and the use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060101802
Abstract: The invention relates to an air intake appliance for an aircraft engine. At least one channel wall (1) of the air intake appliance (20) is provided on at least a part of its inner surface with several essentially parallel ducts (2) arranged side by side for conducting hot gas along said inner surface of the channel wall in order to transfer heat from the hot gas to the channel wall and thereby prevent formation of ice on the outer surface (1a) thereof. Said ducts comprise alternately arranged inflow ducts (2a) and outflow ducts (2b). Distribution means (10, 24) are provided for distributing hot gas to the inflow ducts (2a), and the inflow ducts (2a) are so connected to the outflow ducts (2b) that the hot gas from the distribution means (10, 24) will first flow through an inflow duct (2a) and thereafter through an outflow duct (2b). The invention also relates to an aircraft engine provided with such an air intake appliance.

  • Patent number: 6662020
Abstract: An arrangement for effecting secure transactions having a device interfaced to at least one communications network is proposed. The device has two modes of operation, and includes a controller that controls the device in a first mode of operation and a display coupled to the controller in the first mode. The device further includes a secure part for controlling the device in a secure mode of operation. This secure part has a secure memory for storing data. This memory is directly coupled to the display in the secure mode of operation. Preferably, the device also includes a keypad or other input device that is directly coupled to the secure memory in the second mode. The hardwired connections to secure memory in the secure mode ensures that data shown on the display is indeed the data that is processed and signed off in the secure mode of operation.
