  • Patent number: 9907713
Abstract: An exemplary wheelchair comprises a main frame and a seat frame. Drive wheels and pivoting caster wheels are affixed to and support the main frame. The seat frame is connected to the main frame via left and right rear linkage arms, each rear linkage arm having a first end pivotally connected to the main frame and a second end pivotally connected to the seat frame, thereby allowing the seat frame to pivot relative to the main frame around a virtual pivot point. A seat plate having right, left, front, and rear sides is supported by the seat frame. A backrest frame is also connected to the seat frame. Left and right guide slots of the seat frame receive left and right guide rollers rotationally arranged at each end of a laterally oriented shaft connected to the main frame. The rear linkage arms and guide slots are configured so the virtual pivot point of the seat frame moves rearward when the seat frame is moved from an upright position to a tilted position.

  • Patent number: 8677857
Abstract: A handle brake device comprising: —a housing fixable onto the handlebar of the wheelchair or the wheeled walker, —a brake lever rotatably installed on said housing , —a transmission cable connected to said brake lever through a cable connector, said cable connector defining a connecting point, characterized in that the brake lever comprises a first arc hole and a second arc hole, inside each of which a pivot pin fixedly connected to said housing is slideably engaged in such a manner as to provide dual pivot for the brake lever, respectively a first pivot and a second pivot.

  • Patent number: 4821350
Abstract: A child delivery bed includes a raisable backrest section which is located at one end of a center section, and further includes a leg support section that can be displaced axially beneath the center section. The center section has provided on the edge part thereof facing the leg support section a sunken recess which is open towards the leg support section, therewith to enable blood and other substances to run down to the underlying leg support section. The leg support section has formed thereon a longitudinally extending channel, the width extension of which is at least equal to the width of the open end of the sunken recess and which slopes down towards the outer end portion of the leg support section, at which end portion the bottom of the channel terminates at a drainage edge. Detachably arranged beneath the drainage edge is a collecting vessel for collecting blood and other substances running down from the drainage edge.

  • Patent number: 4682376
Abstract: A delivery bed has a seat part supported on raisable and lowerable side-pieces. A leg-support has side tubes which are journalled for axial movement on forwardly and rearwardly located pairs of support rollers journalled on bolts attached to the side-pieces. Mounted on the side-pieces are guide bars which present along the bottom edge surfaces thereof a plurality of circle-segmental latching recesses intended to co-act with circular latching flanges on the rearwardly located support rollers in selected latching positions. The position of the leg-support is adjusted by lifting the support and axially moving the same to a desired latching position.

  • Patent number: 4545085
Abstract: The invention relates to a wheeled structure for supporting a patient in a sitting position with the aid of raisable and lowerable arrangements designed for lifting a patient from e.g. a chair, a wheelchair or other kind of seat and transferring the patient to any desired place while depositing the patient in a sitting position, the substructure having two longitudinal side members with carrier wheels. According to the invention, the side members are connected to the structure by means of pivotable link arms enabling adjustment of the side members into desired lateral positions for varying the width between the side members as required. When driving up towards a wheelchair for example the width must be greater, whereas driving in narrow spaces such as lavatories requires a minimum width.
