  • Publication number: 20220396281
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and systems that utilize the production vehicles to develop new perception features related to new sensor hardware as well as new algorithms for existing sensors by using self-supervised continuous training. To achieve this the production vehicle's own perception output is fused with other sensors in order to generate a bird's eye view of the road scenario over time. The bird's eye view is synchronized with buffered sensor data that was recorded when the road scenario took place and subsequently used to train a new perception model to output the bird's eye view directly.

  • Patent number: 9035255
Abstract: A method of calibrating a level gauge system using electromagnetic signals to determine a filling level of a product in a tank. The level gauge system comprises a real time sampler for sampling a reflection signal with a sampling period between consecutive samples. The method comprises the steps of: receiving timing signals from a wireless communication network; generating time stamp signals based on the timing signals; registering a number of the sampling periods between a first time stamp signal and a second time stamp signal; and determining the sampling period based on the registered number of sampling periods and a time between the first time stamp signal and the second time stamp signal. Various embodiments of the present invention provide for high accurate determination of the filling level in a tank without the need for a temperature stable and highly accurate clock reference in the level gauge system.

  • Patent number: 8260319
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for determining a distance between a wireless transceiver and a wireless receiver arranged to communicate with each other in a wireless communication network, the wireless receiver having an active and an inactive reception state, the method comprising transmitting, with the wireless receiver in the active reception state, a first transmission signal, receiving a first reflection signal, the first reflection signal being a reflection of the first transmission signal and influenced by the active reception state of the wireless receiver, transmitting, with the wireless receiver in the inactive reception state, a second transmission signal, receiving a second reflected signal, the second reflection signal being a reflection of the second transmission signal and influenced by the inactive reception state of the wireless receiver, and determining a distance between the wireless transceiver and the wireless receiver based on the second reflection signal.

  • Publication number: 20080129583
Abstract: A radar level detector for detecting that a surface of a product in a tank has entered a predefined distance range in an upper half of said tank, said level detector comprising a transmitter for transmitting an electromagnetic transmission signal into the tank, a propagation device for allowing said transmission signal to propagate towards said surface and for returning a reflection of said transmission signal from said surface, a selector for selecting a portion of said reflection, said portion defining said predefined distance range, a detector for setting a discrete signal to an active level if said portion includes information indicating a surface reflection, and an interface for communicating said discrete signal externally of said level detector. As it is not necessary to determine the filling level at every point in time, the signal processing of the detector according to the present invention can be significantly simplified, leading to a more cost efficient product and less power consumption.
