  • Patent number: 10036583
Abstract: Liquid separator (2), designed as a U-shaped pipe (5) and arranged essentially horizontally, for a plate heat exchanger evaporator (1) system for separation of liquid droplets from vapor transported from the evaporator to the separator.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 4, 2008
Date of Patent: July 31, 2018

  • Patent number: 7594538
Abstract: The invention relates to a plate package for a heat exchanger device including a tank with an inner space and an inner wall surface. A sectional plane (p) extends vertically through the inner space. The tank has an inlet for the supply of a liquid medium and an outlet for discharging the medium in a gaseous state. The inner space defines a lower part space and an upper part space. The plate package (10) with heat exchanger plates (11) is provided in the inner space. Each heat exchanger plate has an extension plane perpendicular to the sectional plane. The heat exchanger plates form first plate interspaces that are open towards the inner space for recirculation of the medium, and second plate interspaces, which are closed towards the inner space for the recirculation of a fluid for evaporating the medium. Each heat exchanger plate includes a first porthole (14) and a second porthole (15).

  • Publication number: 20070084237
Abstract: The invention relates to a heat exchanger device including a plate heat exchanger having a plate package of heat transfer plates. Between the plates there are first passages (18) for a heat transfer medium and second passages (19) for a cooling agent. Porthole channels (21 and 22) communicate with the first passages. Porthole channels (23 and 34) communicate with the second passages. The porthole channel (21) forms at least a part of an inlet channel (31) for the heat transfer medium. The porthole channel (22) forms at least a part of an outlet channel (32) for the heat transfer medium. The porthole channel (23) forms a part of an inlet channel (33) for the cooling agent. The porthole channel (24) forms a part of an outlet channel (34) for the cooling agent. A conduit (5) extends to the inlet channel (33) for supplying the cooling agent to the second passages.

  • Patent number: 4976313
Abstract: In a series of heat exchange plates (5, 6), each being rectangular with ports (7, 8, 9, 10) in its corner portions, alternate plates (6) are fully sealed and coact with intermediate plates (5) to define two groups of elongated passages through which the respective heat exchanging fluids (A, B) flow. Each intermediate plate (5) is only partially sealed and defines with one of the two adjacent fully-sealed plates (6) an area communicating directly with the atmosphere, the partial sealing consisting of port sealing means (7a, 8a, 9a, 10a) interconnecting respective pairs of opposing ports to form channels through which the two fluids (A, B) flow without entering said area. The areas form paths through which any leakage of either fluid (A, B) can escape to the atmosphere, thus preventing contamination of either fluid by the other.
