  • Patent number: 10325139
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of authenticating a user by means of a fingerprint authentication system comprising a fingerprint sensing arrangement and authentication circuitry. The method comprises the steps of acquiring a first candidate fingerprint image; acquiring a second candidate fingerprint image; processing, while acquiring the second candidate fingerprint image, the first candidate fingerprint image by the authentication circuitry; and evaluating a result of the processing. When the evaluation indicates that successful authentication is not likely based on the first candidate fingerprint image, the user is authenticated based on the second candidate fingerprint image.

  • Patent number: 9734379
Abstract: Fingerprint enrollment is described. An initial procedure in which the appropriate area of the finger is determined from the size of a user's finger, followed by a guidance procedure where guidance information is provided in a pseudo random manner and further fingerprint data is obtained during the pseudo random guidance. When the appropriate area of the finger has been covered, fingerprint data is used in a calculation of fingerprint enrollment data that can be used in subsequent steps in the enrollment procedure.

  • Publication number: 20020040866
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for displaying text information in different sort orders. The method comprises the steps of selecting one of a plurality of sort order criteria; sorting a plurality of string objects based on the selected sort order; and displaying the string objects in selected sort order. The string objects may further be divided into groups, and the string objects of the selected group are displayed in a manner that is different from the manner of displaying the string objects of other groups or the cursor is move to the location of string objects of the selected group. The user may use different sort orders and groups to find out the desired record.
