  • Patent number: 6375765
Abstract: A thin ferritic steel sheet having an excellent shape fixability capable of being used for bending is provided, comprising: at least 0.027 to less than 0.05 mass % of C, 0.01 to 1.0 mass % of Si, 0.01 to 2.0 mass % of Mn, not more than 0.15 mass % of P, not more than 0.03 mass % of S, 0.01 to 0.1 mass % of Al, not more than 0.01 mass % of N, not more than 0.007 mass % of O, the balance being Fe and inevitable impurities, wherein a ratio of presence of {100} planes parallel with a face of the steel sheet to {111} planes is not less than 1.0, and TS×El, which represents a product of maximum tensile strength (TS) multiplied by rupture elongation (El) of the steel sheet, is at least 13,860 MPA %.

  • Patent number: 5618355
Abstract: A high-strength steel sheet suitable for deep drawing, characterized by comprising 0.04 to 0.25 mass % of C and 0.3 to 3.0 mass %, in total, of at least one of Si and Al, the steel sheet having multiple phases structure comprising ferrite as a main phase (a phase having the highest volume fraction), not less than 3 vol. % of austenite, and bainite and martensite; said steel satisfying a requirement that a value obtained by dividing volume fraction of Vg (vol. %) of austenite before working by the content of C (mass %) contained in the whole steel, Vg/C, is 40 to 140, a requirement that Vp (volume fraction of austenite at the time of plane strain tensile deformation)/Vs (volume fraction of austenite at the time of shrink flanging deformation) is not more than 0.

  • Patent number: 4294095
Abstract: Rolled steel plate is press-fabricated into cylindrical UO pipe with a large wall thickness, by the steps of crimping, U-ing and O-ing. In the U-ing process, a collapsible U-ing punch, including a center block carrying paired side punches on both sides and a bottom punch at the bottom, is used. The U-ing punch insures that the O-shaped workpiece has the desired butt gap by decreasing the ratio of its height to its width when the gap proves to be smaller than the desired butt edge gap, and vice versa when the gap proves to be larger than the desired butt edge gap.

  • Patent number: 4087289
Abstract: Anti-vibration steel materials containing not more than 0.1% of carbon and not more than 0.5% of manganese and having an .alpha. value of not lower than 55, said value being a product of the yield point or stress at 0.2% strain and the grain size number, and a method for producing the same which comprises hot rolling a steel slab, billet or bloom containing not more than 0.1% of carbon, not more than 0.5% of manganese, giving not more than 10% of strain to the hot rolled steel, annealing the hot rolled steel thus strain given at a temperature not lower than its recrystallization temperature but not higher than its A.sub.3 transformation point for at least one minute and controlling the .alpha. value as defined herein to a value not more than 55.

  • Patent number: 4046597
Abstract: A vibration damping steel containing C .ltoreq. 0.10% and Mn .ltoreq. 0.40% as the essential constituents and having a lower yield point or 0.2% proof stress of 7-28kg/mm.sup.2 with the degree of refinement of the steel being not less than 0.18 while still maintaining the specific gravity at 7.859g/cm.sup.3 or less, and a process for producing the same. This steel material is particularly suited for use in items which to produce and transmit vibration and noise.
