  • Patent number: 11111103
Abstract: A rope sway reducing arrangement hinders a lateral sway of an elongate rope-like device having one end attached to a movable component displaceable within an elevator hoistway and another end attached to a fixed position within the hoistway. The sway reducing arrangement includes an elongate guide arrangement having two spanning ropes fixedly attached within and extending in a longitudinal direction of the hoistway. The sway reducing arrangement further includes a rope tensioning arrangement having a weight member and being mechanically connected to the guide arrangement for displacement and guiding along the longitudinal direction of the guide arrangement. The mechanical connection is via an engagement member to generate tensioning forces onto the rope-like device due to gravity-induced forces resulting from a weight of the weight member. Thereby, the rope-like device is held at the guide arrangement with a downward directed mechanical tension thereby preventing excessive lateral sway.

  • Publication number: 20180263355
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aerosol hairspray product. The product comprises: a pressurisable container comprising a container wall which encloses a reservoir for storing a hairstyling formulation and a liquefied gas propellant; and a spraying device attached to the container for dispensing the hairstyling formulation from the reservoir of the container. The spraying device comprises a valve and a nozzle and the valve comprises a valve body, a stem and a spring means. The valve body houses an insert and the insert comprises an insert orifice and at least two channels. The channels are tangentially disposed about the insert orifice. Also the valve body comprises at least two vapour taps. Furthermore the insert orifice is capable of being in liquid communication with the hairstyling formulation in the reservoir.

  • Patent number: 4885939
Abstract: A human performance dynamometer for testing eccentric contractions and also concentric contractions of the human muscles. The dynamometer provides for free-limb acceleration during concentric contractions, whereby the user can accelerate the input shaft of the dynamometer to the set speed without any resistance from the dynamometer. The dynamometer has two parallel shafts which are geared together and rotate in opposite directions to one another. The dynamometer has an input shaft for connection to limb engaging means. A motor is operatively connected to one of the parallel shafts through a speed reducer. Located on each shaft is an overrunning spray clutch, each of which may be disengaged from the system if eccentric contractions are desired for one or both directions of rotation of an input shaft. Each outer race of the respective overrunning clutch is connected to its respective parallel shaft. The inner race of each overrunning clutch is geared to the input shaft.
