Abstract: A computer-based electronic check processing system may enable the transmission of electronic checks from a payor system to a payee system. The check processing system may receive a check generation request from the payor system. The check processing system may generate an electronic check based on the check generation request. The check processing system may transmit a check notification to the payee system to notify the payee system that the electronic check was generated. The payee system may access the check processing system, based on the check notification, to interact with and retrieve the electronic check.
