  • Patent number: 11516248
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to, in general, detecting and mitigating malicious communications. Typically, a system of the present invention is configured to deliver indicators of compromise in response to identifying and isolating malicious communication. Moreover, the system is configured to analyze an electronic communication to determine if it is malicious or if it has a malicious payload. In some embodiments, the system is configured to determine an indicator of compromise for the electronic communication determined to be malicious, and transmit this indicator of compromise to the first networked device. In some embodiments, the system transmits a threat trigger signal to a third party provider. The threat trigger signal is configured to allow an application or system provided by the third party provider to block a threat caused by the electronic communication. In some embodiments, the system provides training to help users better identify and report threats.

  • Publication number: 20150205464
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software are described herein to facilitate the enhanced updating of user interfaces to a service. In an implementation, an application renders a user interface to a service and an initial visualization is surfaced in response to the occurrence of an event. After surfacing the initial visualization, the application receives an update from the service that includes a proposed visualization and determines whether or not the proposed visualization accounts for the event. If the proposed visualization accounts for the event, the proposed visualization is surfaced in place of the initial visualization. But if the proposed visualization does not account for the event, the initial visualization may be persisted until another visualization is identified that accounts for the event.

  • Publication number: 20080256484
Abstract: Techniques for aligning and positioning objects are described. A computer system employing such techniques may comprise a display to present a graphical user interface including a pointer to select a movable object and a guide to align a selected object at a target position. The guide may comprise one or more pixels configured with a coefficient for modifying a standard object movement rate of the selected object. The selected object may be positioned at any pixel configured with the coefficient. The computer system may comprise an input device to receive an object selection and user movement to position the selected object at the target position on the graphical user interface and an alignment module to translate a user movement rate into a corresponding object movement rate according to the coefficient when an edge of the selected object intersects with any pixel configured with the coefficient. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 7437659
Abstract: A publishing program can provide continuous and real-time feedback on possible design problems while a document is being edited or created. The feedback can include displaying a user interface that has a real-time list of any design problems that may be a result of the current edits or creations in a document. The list is updated as the document is being created or edited. A user can toggle between the list and the document as often as desired. The list can identify all current potential publication problems of an electronic document as well as the types of the publication problems that may be present in an electronic document.
