    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for trapping corrosion products in a plant, the method comprising: installing, at the plant where a fluid is being processed, a trap system having one or more magnetic elements, at least one entry port, and at least one exit port; configuring the trap system such that the fluid flows in a prescribed pattern through the trap system; and activating the one or more magnetic elements of the trap system such that the corrosion products in the fluid are retained by the one or more magnetic elements and limited to portions of the plant while the fluid flows from the at least one entry port to the at least one exit port.

    Abstract: Systems and methods include a method for determining the purity of a sample. An image capture is performed of a reference material having a known purity and an unknown material having an unknown purity for which a priori information is known, including that the reference material and the unknown material have a same material type. An image comparison of the reference material and the unknown material is performed to determine a color difference vector between an image of the reference material and an image of the unknown material. A purity of the unknown material is determined using the color difference vector.
