    Abstract: A retractable utility knife having a housing, a coil spring disposed within the housing, a blade, and a manually operable push button extending through the housing and in contact with the blade for movement therewith. The blade is positioned for longitudinal movement within a longitudinal passage defined within the coil spring. The spring biases the blade to the retracted position.
