    Abstract: A system, method and computer program product is provided for configuring policies among a plurality of network components equipped with scanners. Initially, an Internet Protocol (IP) address is received at a particular one of a plurality of network components each equipped with a scanner. It should be noted that the same IP address is utilized to configure policies among each of the plurality of network components. Next, a portion of the IP address is identified by the particular one of the network components. A policy unique to the particular one of the network components is then determined utilizing the identified portion of the IP address.
