  • Patent number: 12233738
Abstract: Presented are closed-loop feedback control systems for preconditioning batteries, methods for making/using such systems, and electric-drive vehicles with battery preconditioning capabilities. A method for operating a battery system of a motor vehicle includes a system controller receiving a recharge signal to schedule a recharge event for a battery of the vehicle. The system controller responsively derives a target preconditioning temperature for optimizing the battery recharge event, and determines the battery state of voltage or charge for at the vehicle's current location. The system controller also predicts an SOV/SOC for the battery upon arrival of the motor vehicle at a selected charging station, and estimates a preconditioning time to thermally precondition the battery to the target preconditioning temperature.

  • Patent number: 12229077
Abstract: Techniques are described for managing execution of programs. In some situations, program execution is managed for multiple users using excess program execution capacity of one or more computing systems. In some such situations, excess or otherwise unused program execution capacity may be made available to execute programs on a temporary basis, such that the programs executing using the excess program execution capacity may be terminated at any time if other preferred use for the excess program execution capacity arises. The excess program execution capacity may in some situations be provided in conjunction with other dedicated program execution capacity that is allocated to particular users, such as to use unused dedicated capacity of some users as excess capacity for other users. In some situations, the techniques are used in conjunction with a fee-based program execution service that executes multiple programs on behalf of multiple users of the service.

  • Patent number: 12225426
Abstract: A device may determine that a first geographical area satisfies an area threshold. The first geographical area includes an estimated location of a source of interference associated with base stations. A first plurality of vertices, of the first geographical area, are based on locations of the base stations. The device may determine a second plurality of vertices. The second plurality of vertices are closer to the estimated location than the first plurality of vertices. The device may provide information regarding the second plurality of vertices and may obtain magnitude information indicating magnitudes of the interference measured at the second plurality of vertices. The device may determine a third plurality of vertices based on the magnitude information. The device may provide information regarding a second geographical area, formed by the third plurality of vertices, to cause a search of the second geographical area to identify the source of the interference.

  • Publication number: 20250039479
Abstract: A method includes: receiving a script configured to modify the audio-video file; calculating a performance metric based on execution of the script on a set of test files; classifying the script as performant based on the performance metric; defining a metadata store associated with the script and the audio-video file; receiving a playback request specifying a rendition of the audio-video file from a computational device; in response to receiving the playback request: accessing a set of data inputs from the metadata store; executing the script on a frame of the audio-video file based on the set of data inputs to generate a modified frame of the audio-video file; transcoding the modified frame of the audio-video file into the rendition to generate an output frame of the audio-video file; and transmitting the output frame of the audio-video file to the computational device for playback at the computational device.
