Publication number: 20240384428Abstract: An apparatus to purify water and provide the purified water to one or more electrolyzers for manufacture of hydrogen can include a purification unit positioned to receive water from a demineralization unit to purify the water and output the purified water to at least one electrolyzer of an electrolyzer house. The flow of water can be adjusted to maintain a minimum flow of water passing through one or more beds of a polisher while accounting for the demand of water at the electrolyzers. Flow adjustments can be made between providing all the purified water to the electrolyzers during high demand operations to other configurations in which little or no purified water is fed to the electrolyzers and, instead, that water is recycled back to the water purification unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2023Publication date: November 21, 2024Applicant: Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.Inventors: GRAEME RICHARD WILSON, TIMOTHY EDWARD CONWAY, MATTHEW WILLIAM AKHURST, FIONA VICTORIA LESLIE

Publication number: 20240388128Abstract: Information about power events on the electrical grid may be determined by processing reports of power anomalies from power monitors installed at various points on the electrical grid, such as in buildings of end users of electrical power. A power monitor may process sensor measurements of the power line to determine that a power anomaly has occurred. The power monitor may transmit information about the power anomaly, such as the time and location, to a processing location. The processing location may select power anomaly reports having a similar time and location to determine information about a power event that caused the power anomalies. The information about the power event may include the type, time, and location of the power event. A notification may be sent about the power event to facilitate repairs and reduce risks, such as the risk of electrical fires.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 19, 2023Publication date: November 21, 2024Inventors: Matthew William Fishburn, George Zavaliagkos, Michael S. Patent number: 12138198Abstract: An oral appliance device that selectively engages upper teeth and lower teeth within a human mouth includes an upper appliance member, a lower appliance member, and a first vertical shim. The upper appliance member selectively engages the upper teeth. The lower appliance member selectively engages the lower teeth. The appliance members are movable relative to one another between an open position and a closed position. The first vertical shim is removably secured to one of the appliance members. The first vertical shim has a first shim height so that a teeth spacing between the upper teeth and the lower teeth is maintained when the appliance members are in the closed position. The teeth spacing is at least as great as the first shim height. The oral appliance device can further include a second vertical shim that is alternatively, removably secured to one of the appliance members. The second vertical shim has a second shim height that is different than the first shim height.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2019Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: Diamond Orthotic Laboratory, LLCInventors: Matthew M. Patent number: 12141770Abstract: An electronic commerce (e-commerce) system may send advertisement emails to customers that are registered with the e-commerce system. The advertisement emails may include mailto links. Each mailto link describes an email message that is generated when that link is selected. When a mailto link is selected, the generated email message includes one or more parameters related to a money transfer made by the customer to a second financial account. For example, the generated email message may include a customer identifier, and/or one or more parameters that indicate the second financial account to which a money transfer should be made, and an amount to be transferred. The generated email message may then be transmitted to the e-commerce system. The e-commerce system may receive the message and, based on the parameters in the received message, communicate with a payment processing system to perform the money transfer indicated in the message.Type: GrantFiled: June 12, 2015Date of Patent: November 12, 2024Assignee: SWOOP IP HOLDINGS LLCInventors: John P.
