  • Patent number: 10994080
Abstract: An automatic drug delivery device is described, comprising: a housing (1); a skin sensor element (15) coupled to the housing and movable relative to the housing, wherein the skin sensor element is biased into a front position relative to the housing and is movable to a rear position relative to the housing when the skin sensor element is pressed against an injection site; a needle assembly comprising a hypodermic needle (11), the hypodermic needle extending outside of the housing when the device is in a needle insertion configuration; a drug delivery mechanism comprising a stored energy source (4), within the housing; wherein the drug delivery mechanism is released when the skin sensor element is moved from the front position towards the rear position and wherein the stored energy source is arranged to expand along an axis that is offset from an axis of travel of the needle assembly in use; a needle retraction mechanism configured to withdraw the hypodermic needle into the housing when the needle retraction m

  • Publication number: 20210063122
Abstract: A fluid detection and reaction apparatus that physically responds to fluid contact. An open-ended chamber with a hinged cover holds a compressed springy material. The cover/lid is subjected to pressure by the compressed springy material to open the chamber end. A latch is formed between the chamber cover and the rim of the chamber end to generate a holding force that keeps the cover in place. The latch is formed by a water-reactive material that is adapted to will fail or sever under stress when wet. When water contacts the water-reactive material, the material tears, allowing the cover to open the chamber and release the springy material.

  • Patent number: 10928998
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for configuring automatic playback settings on a media playback device. A graphical user interface displays automatic playback settings and receives selections of customized settings for automatic playback. The settings can include context granularity for automatic playback, limiting autoplay to when the media playback device is connected to a wireless network, and activating an audible notification when automatic playback of media content is beginning. An initial queue of media content is selected for playback on the media playback device. The system ascertains whether autoplay is enabled for a particular situation. If autoplay is enabled, the system automatically generates a queue of media that is related to the initial queue and initiates playback on the media playback device after the initial queue concludes.

  • Patent number: 10794657
Abstract: A fluid throwing apparatus with a base that is made from substantially fluid-tight flexible material. A handle is attached to the base, at least a portion of the handle being flexibility, which when attached to the base causes the base to form into a cup or scoop shape when it is at least partially filled with a fluid. When thrown, the fluid is carried by the base and then released. In another embodiment the edge/rim of the base could be attached to a player and, when thrown, the attachment would pull back on an edge/rim of the base to release the fluid.

  • Publication number: 20200304678
Abstract: A watermark image may be generated that includes a first set of encoded pixels each of which is assigned a first transparency value and a second set of encoded pixels each of which is assigned a second transparency value, the second transparency level being different from the first transparency level. The encoded pixels may be distributed among a set of blank pixels such that each encoded pixel neighbors one or more blank pixels in the watermark image, and in particular at least two blank pixels in the watermark image. Herein, each blank pixel may be assigned the second transparency value. The watermark image may be overlaid and blended over a background source image to create an encoded source image. A decoder system may recover encoded information from the encoded source image.

  • Patent number: 10780227
Abstract: The invention provides a syringe for dispensing a drug (1), comprising: a rigid syringe body, —a first container (2), in contact with and enclosing the drug; and a second container (3), enclosing the first container, the second container being less gas permeable than the first container, wherein the second container partially or fully forms the rigid syringe body or is held within the rigid syringe body. The invention preserves the drug but allows the drug to be easily accessed without the need for a user to remove a gas barrier structure as a separate action in addition to the other actions needed to deliver the drug.

  • Publication number: 20190264998
Abstract: A fluid throwing apparatus with a base that is made from substantially fluid-tight flexible material. A handle is attached to the base, which is preferably flexible (or has some flexibility), which when attached to the base causes the base to form into a cup or scoop shape when it is at least partially filled with a fluid and held above the ground. When thrown, the fluid is carried by the base and then released. Depending upon the use of the fluid throwing apparatus, the fluid release could be due to direct impact, or due to unstable flight of the system, such as deformation of the base or the momentum of the mass of fluid. In some embodiments the unstable flight may be induced by optionally attached drag components. In another embodiment the edge/rim of the base could be attached to a player and, when thrown, the attachment would pull back on an edge/rim of the base to release the fluid.
