  • Publication number: 20240066929
Abstract: A system for monitoring tire tread on a vehicle may include front wheels, rear wheels, a sensor network to determine rolling radius data associated with the front wheels and the rear wheels, processing circuitry which may include a memory unit and may be configured to receive the rolling radius data from the sensor network, and a user interface which may display information to an operator of the vehicle. The processing circuitry may be further configured to determine a rolling radius of the front wheels and the rear wheels, determine a difference in the rolling radius between the front wheels and the rear wheels, compare the difference in the rolling radius to a predetermined threshold value, and generate a notification via the user interface to indicate that a tire rotation may be recommended responsive to the difference in the rolling radius exceeding the predetermined threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20240027257
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to calibrate a weight estimation are disclosed herein. An example apparatus comprises memory including stored instructions, and a processor to execute the instructions to determine, via a first sensor, a first load estimation of a vehicle corresponding to when the vehicle under a load condition, determine, via a second sensor, a second load estimation corresponding to when the vehicle is moving and under the load condition, and calibrate, based on a difference between the second load estimation and the first load estimation, an error of the first load estimation.

  • Publication number: 20200324571
Abstract: A non-pneumatic tire includes a wheel hub portion, a tread ring portion, and a plurality of flexible spokes extending between and coupled to the wheel hub portion and the tread ring portion. A hollow core is positioned between adjacent flexible spokes or formed within each flexible spoke. The plurality of flexible spokes are configured to cyclically move between a narrow position to a wide position when the non-pneumatic tire is attached to a vehicle and is rolling on a road surface such that the plurality of flexible spokes act as a bellows that pumps air from one side of the non-pneumatic tire to another side of the non-pneumatic tire.

  • Publication number: 20180341264
Abstract: A computer is programmed to receive, from a vehicle control device, data specifying a location of the control device outside a vehicle; receive data specifying a spatial boundary; generate a path avoiding the spatial boundary from a current location of the vehicle to a location within a predetermined distance of the control-device location; and navigate the vehicle along the path.
