Abstract: A plural preform assembly having nested preforms. The preforms are held together by an interference fit. The interference fit is provided by the friction between the preforms which occurs when the inner preform is inserted into the outer preform. At least one preform may have ribs extending radially towards the other preform. The ribs provided concentricity and interference to hold the preforms together during subsequent operations. The preforms may later be blow molded to provide a bag in bottle or similar container.

Abstract: An aerosol container having an open neck at the top and a closed end bottom longitudinally spaced therefrom. The container has a valve cup and bag. The valve cup and bag are integral. The valve cup is attachable to the neck in sealing relationship. This arrangement provides for propellant to be disposed intermediate the container and bag. Product can be disposed in the bag for selective dispensing by a user actuated valve.

Abstract: An aerosol dispenser having a valve cup. The valve cup has an internal interlock, for attachment of a valve assembly thereto. A seal is disposed below the interlock. This arrangement provides the benefit that components of the dispenser may be inserted past the interlock, and still seal product therein under pressure. The interlock may comprise threads or a bayonet fitting. The valve cup may be injection molded as a preform.

Abstract: A pressurized container usable for a pressurizable contain, such as an aerosol dispenser, an aerosol dispenser made therewith and preform therefor. The preform/container/dispenser has a neck at the top. The neck has upper and lower portions. The lower portion transitions into a shoulder, which flares outwardly. The shoulder, in turn, transitions into a sidewall. The lower neck portion/shoulder and/or upper part of the sidewall are cystallized. The invention also comprises a preform for making such a pressurizable container and an aerosol dispenser made therewith.

Abstract: An article of commerce includes a disposable cleaning article and a package. The package exhibits soft visual and sound characteristics. The package is formed as a multilayer packaging film including at least a co-extruded vapor barrier film layer and a polymeric film layer having a melting point at least about 20° C. less than the co-extruded film layer. The polymeric film layer is sealable to form the package so as to enclose the disposable cleaning article, thereby to substantially retain the water content of the disposable cleaning article. The polymeric film layer further exhibits a corrected sound level of less than approximately 50 decibels at readily audible frequencies, such as 3-5 kHz. The reduced sound level may be achieved by providing a film with a high loss tangent. In addition, the multilayer packaging film may have an outer surface with a soft or “matte” appearance.

Abstract: A flexible package for accommodating a multiplicity of articles, wherein the package comprises at least a side wall with an aperture defined by an aperture edge. The aperture provides a structure for gripping and for tearing away a tearaway portion of the side wall, defined by lines of weakness. The tearaway portion is adapted to create an opening in the side wall through which articles may be removed from the package. The package further includes a strap adjacent to an upper edge of the side wall and defined in part by a upper portion of the aperture edge.

Abstract: A flexible package for accommodating a multiplicity of articles, wherein the package comprises at least a side wall with an opening means. The opening means comprises a gripping means and a tearing means and the gripping means is formed in an external panel of the side wall. The opening means is adapted to create an opening in the side wall by tearing a tear-off portion of the side wall. The external panel further comprises a first strap, which after opening the package, remains adjacent to an upper edge of the package.
